I am thinking of going christmas shopping for Zack now instead of leaving it like usual. What is everyone buying? Zack will be almost 3 and I find it hard to think ahead to what he might like. I don't want to get anything to young/old for him IYKWIM.

So what are you planning on buying?

We should be moving into our new house in September so the plan is to get them one of those huge Playgrounds for Christmas. I have comparing the ones in the brochures and I think Bunnings has them too. I really like the one in the BIG W brochure for $1299 i think. It has a slide, swings, sandpit, rock climbing wall, ladder etc. I have told everyone in the family to just give money towards that instead of buying them little things. The only thing is DH isnt huge on getting things so early, he would rather pay full price when he actually needs/wants it rolleyes.gif

The other thing I have been looking at is a dollhouse (the three level barbie type ones) for Keira for her birthday which is not long after Christmas. I had one growing up and I loved it. I still have it but over the years it kinda went a bit yellow, so we will have get a new one. She can have her dolls house in her bedroom. And all the other toys will be in the rumpus.

The boys are getting a train table and a heap of rails, trains etc to go with it. They'll probably get some little things as well, maybe some more playdoh, an easel, small wading pool.

I'm thinking of getting Zoe a doll's house...i wanted to get her one for her birthday but went with the kitchen instead. It's hard now cause i don't think either of the kids need anything and don't want to get too much! ( i tend to go overboard at christmas...it's genetic i think!)

I will have to look again and see what I like. And will have to buy for my niece and (?)nephew-to-be. Whats something smallish for a 2yo girl?

Finlay's birthday is in November so I get double advantage of the layby sales!

I love that you an just take it back if what you bought is no longer suitable or his favourite thing anymore.

I'm looking at getting:

a bike
and maybe one of those tag Junior reading things.

tonka trucks

sandpit

I saw in the catalouge (BW) those tennis ball on a string with rackets for only $15 so I might get one of those too . It'll look great as this massive long present under the tree and its a good outdoor activity too.

We have Cates birthday and Xmas at the same time so have to think of things to last a while year.

So far the "big" things we have decided on are:

- an outdoor swing set with slide - got it on special from Toys R Us
- a TAG junior reader and books

Other than that:

- kids digital camera that I got from the Target clearance bin
- DVD
- puzzles - 20 piece or so
- books
- dress ups/medical kit

Was thinking about getting her one of those Trunki suitcases too as we travel each year.

A Comfy Easy PC was on our list too but think I will wait until next year for that one. Plus we don't have a spare monitor or speakers to go with it at the moment.

A train table and train set was also on our list but will prob save that for Charlie

All the Little People sets look great too

My almost two-year-old will be getting a "sharing present" of a swingset, and maybe a big red wagon as well- depending on which swingset we choose- for Christmas.

And then in each of their stockings will definately be a book, and a few other little things- Matchbox car, and torch for Levi..probably one other thing.

But their birthdays are Wednesday (Marley :blink) and next month (Levi) - so for that they're getting a toy kitchen and a heap of Duplo, respectively.

I also bought Levi a toy vacuum in the Toy Sales as he loves doing the vacuuming, and a doctor's kit. I'm also tempted by the Playdough things where you push them into the molds etc. My poor deprived second child gets nothing as we have more than enough toys for her age. laugh.gif

We bought Oliver a tricycle at the sales. Will get him a helmet to go with it too. It was only $40 so there will be something else too but not sure what yet.

Kaele got the Kids Tuff Camera, Aqua Doodle, and a baby set up - cot, pram, high chair etc. Thats for Xmas, and her and Miller will share a swing set.
For her birthday, she got the country kitchen, a little wooden guitar, and a kids three wheel scooter.
