Hi all,

I have just started looking into flowers for my wedding day and was wondering if any one had any ideas on how to keep the costs down.

I have already decided I would like roses and I have 4 bridesmaids.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Or if anyone knows of any great places to go in sydney (north west).

Thanks

Ask if they will do it for cash. I saved heaps by paying cash for mine.

Hi there,

I can recommend the florist I used. She was great..and very reasonably priced too!

If you have a set budget for your flowers don't be afraid to tell the florist..good luck!! smile.gif

If you were happy to make your own bouquets (or more seriously get a friend or family member to make up bunches) you could save heaps by getting the flowers from the Flower Markets fresh the day before? Just make sure you store them in water in the fridge to make them last.

Gather together pictures of the look you want then ask your florist what other cheaper flowers you can use for the same look.

You can get the same look my mixing roses with other cheaper flowers. It will lower the cost, but still look great. There are flowers out htere that have a similar appearance to roses, and when you mix them in with real roses of the same colour you really won't notice!

My BM's will have corsages instead of bouquets which is keeping our costs down quite a bit.
