Help required please.
I am having a purple and silver theme for our wedding and was wondering about what sort of purple flowers are out there for my day.
I need a bouquet, flowers for decorating and grooms pinhole.
Hope you guys out there have some suggestions for me.

Roses, Anomes, Freesias, rahniculas, gerbras - the list is endless. You are best off speaking with a florist to ask. My bridesmaids are having purple flowers dotted through their bouquets as they are wearing purple dresses. They are having mainly pink & white like mine will be.

My florist was able to tell me which were the best flowers.

Orchids are also another flower thats in purple

Thanks for a reply. I haven't spoken to a florist yet, my SIL used to work for one and has worded them up that I want to use them, but as the wedding isn't in the same town as us I haven't been able to speak with them yet, so i was trying to get some ideas before I see them.

Don't florists use a special spray paint to colour fresh flowers so you can have whatever colour you want? That was done when I did work experience with a florist about 15 years ago...

I would go for a purple iris, some silver suede foliage & a rose called "Angel Face" - if available.
- Purple Ranunculus is also gorgeous.

Beautiful.

If you don't require deep purple, I'd love to see a dainty bunch of lavender - I've always thought it would look so lovely with green trimming and even a bit of lace

we wanted a range of purples in the bouquets and my florist did this

IPB Image

I loved them - not sure about all the flowers in there though.

I know there are roses, hydrangeas (sp?) Lisianthus, cala lillies.... but the rest I am not sure

and here were the bridal table decorations, the guest table decorations were just bigger pots.

like this smile.gif

I hope this helps.

When I get pro pics back I should have some better pics of the flowers and the decorations.

Cheers, Sarah

I had a purple and silver themed wedding happy.gif The bouquets had purple tulips, and mauve and purple lisianthus. Though it was a May wedding and I'm unsure that tulips will be available when you get married unsure.gif

My hubby's buttonhole was a purple tulip and Emmanuel rose. Our table centrepieces were purple orchids in bullet glasses, which looked beautiful wub.gif
