Buy a comfy dress...... you will be wearing it for a long time.

Get a photographer that you connect with and understands what you want.

Don't get sucked into inviting people because someone else wants them there. It is your day so have it your way.

I have only 3 tips - all 'saved' our day LOL!!

The first two are to just be prepared to think on your feet & make sure the relevant people have a list of emergency contacts. We gave a phone list of (caterers, decoration hire company, cake guy, both sets of parents plus maid of honour and best man) to several key players in our day. Unplanned things WILL happen - like cakes disappearing (and a VERY nervous best man could ring you asking where it was LOL!!) or it could rain - don't get caught up too much in the "this should have happened" just be solutions based!! It rained during our photos - we ended up pulling our photographer aside during the evening and nabbed some fantastic dusk shots that were never planned.

Also - I scoffed at this one - BUT SERIOUSLY BRING A FRIGGEN MINI SEWING KIT!! ROTFL!! Saved our day as our photographers zipper busted bwahahaaa!! poor man! So lucky we had a safety pin in our pack to keep him decent and relaxed!

ETA - straws for the ladies in the bridal party!! So yo don't mush your lippie while enjoying a drink getting ready and during photos.

Try to make sure you have your melt down before your wedding day!! And wake up on your wedding with a positive attitude, and a resolve not to let little things (like a bit of rain and florist forgetting the flower girl's bouquet) get you down!

My tip would be to give your camera to someone in the wedding party or a good friend you can rely on and ask them to take photos with it throughout the day. Then collect it at the end of the night so when back in the hotel/bedroom together, you can look over your day and see what everyone else experienced, how everything looked etc. Was such a great way to end the evening (well along with other things smile.gif)

Don't sweat the small stuff, and ultimately everything bar the fact that you are marrying the person you love IS small stuff.

The dress, the shoes, the bridesmaids, the flowers, all pale into insignificance beside the fact that you are in love and committing yourself to the person of your dreams. It's not about the wedding, it's about the marriage.

Have fun, but if people spent as much time concentrating on the first 365 days of their marriage as they do on the 1st day, there would be a heck of a lot less unhappy newlyweds.

Where can I find inexpensive and tiny such tracking devices. I think I'll need one for my Father tongue.gif

I would seriously appreciate it. Thank you!

Water.... lots of water. I was so preoccupied getting ready in the morning etc that I didn't pack any water in the wedding cars. After the ceremony I was so so thirsty. Thank goodness my SIL had put bottles and bottles of water in the car which got us through the photos without dying of dehydration laugh.gif

Hydration is a definite must!! My cousin's wife fainted close to the end of the night hahaha she was so anxious she forgot to drink some water!

My tips for wedding day is "Enjoy Every moments of your wedding day".

Don't try to do extra efforts to impress, like extra makeup, hair style, clothing style, your partner or people on that day.

Best wedding tip - Just breathe. Relax and just know that regardless of whatever happens that day you are marrying the love of your life. Have fun with it.

Well said.

One of the hottest trends to hit the wedding world is allowing the groom to have his own “groom’s cake”. The purpose of the cake? To celebrate the groom, of course!

Wedding is a very lovely moment, and I think everyone wants to capture it and for that photography and videography are best option. These two things capture that moments forever and forever.

The best tip that I would like to give is regarding wedding planning and venue. People often plan their wedding wrong and it results in improper wedding. The proper planning is essential. All the things like wedding venue, parlor, dress etc. should be booked earlier to reduce some major tensions.

Prioritize the Guestlist

Place immediate family, close friends etc on the top of your priority. You don't want to miss out anybody important. Thereafter, include your friends, colleagues and people that aren't so important.

Take things easy

Organizing a wedding is a huge task. Have a rough timetable planned out and a checklist of things to do like ordering a cake, booking a band etc..

First time shoppers may want to check out this website about diamond ring buying.

The best wedding tip I can give is to know that you won't be able to please everyone, not everyone would agree with your taste but remember is not about them is about you and your partner on that special day. Don't stress out or freak out because everything has solution, just enjoy and make the best out of that day so it can be unforgettable. Don't worry be happy wink.gif
