2 weeks already Em? How quickly time is passing by! I can hardly believe my little one is 5 days already ohmy.gif wub.gif I supose time flies when you lose the distinction between day and night, lol.
I am typing this one handed while feeding her - lol. I am hearing you on the windy baby deal- last night she was all windy (with lots of follow through) and it is the same deal tonight! She has been having looong sleeps during the day though, she slept from about 5-9, then 1.30-4 and then from 7.30 - 12 (ths last one under daddy's supervision while I got a full 5 hour sleep ohmy.gif ohmy.gif tongue.gif) She woke up quiet hungry and gas been cat napping and cluster feeding since ohmy.gif Since her very first day she has always slep better for daddy- lol.
We were feeling very good today so the three of us ((wub.gif, I love being part of a family of three)) went out to the shops to meet with the girls at my work and to buy a few things we didn't know we'd need (read: ural, lansinoh and some long sleeve sleep suits) even though i originally thought that the darwin weather would be too hot for anything long sleeves it turns out that Kaili HATES having her arms wrapped up, so they stick out of her blankets and I am paranoid about them getting cold lol. While at the shops she slept in the pram for a while, then got passed around and continued to sleep, we decided to pull out the hug-a-bub as she woke and wanted to be held and let me say that that thing is amazing! She loved it, she was in there and apart from a couple of whingy bits she zonked out while i was walking around and i even managed to get all the shopping + the pram into the boot on my own while zane went to woolies- all without a single peep from her tongue.gif
Apart from lack of sleep I am feeling so great at the moment, I am quiet surprised at how smoothly things seem to be going, despite the lack of sleep and new bubs, it all feels so wonderfully right wub.gif

Woah... talk about an essay! lol! That'll be it from me for now, otherwise I'll hog this whole page!

I hope all other mums & bubs are doing well!!!

I have to agree with you all on how fast time seems to have been flying since the arrival of our little ones smile.gif. last week was just a blur.

Ems~ I am also finding Jessica to be quite windy. I never realised how windy BF bubs could be smile.gif. Last night was a shocker here and I am sure this was the problem, she feed 2hly and was constantly pulling faces. However, despite all my efforts minimal luck at getting it out of her. Good excuse for lots of cuddles though.

HSC~ Wow what a sleeper you have smile.gif. We tend to get 4hr stretches here of a day, but then night times are much shorter. By the time you feed and get them back to bed they are ready feed again smile.gif. I wonder if our little ones are having a bit of a growth spurt, after reading that your little princess is also cluster feeding at night.

Well AFM~ Still can't believe we have another child smile.gif. I had a bit of a teary last night looking at her and wondering what our other bubs would have been like. I have found I have bonded so much more quickly with Jessica then I did with Kaity. But then I also haven't had to deal with a traumatic birth and illness.

Our Birth experience, was quite positive despite not being a vbac. I was given full details throughout her delivery and snuggles straight away after birth. They even waited with doing her measurements until we got back to the ward. I did have a bit of a reaction to the spinal at the start of the delivery with my BP dropping, god I have never felt so sick, but the anesthetist was fantastic and quickly corrected it. Leaving me to enjoy her birth.

I had quite a lot of scar tissue and lots of my bowel was adhered to my uterus, meaning it took around an hour for them to actually get her out.

I have some wonderful pictures of her birth on facebook, so if anyone would like to see them I would be happy for friend requests from you girls smile.gif. With my dodgy forum settings at the moment I don't think It is even worth attempting to post them here.

Well better go and get myself and Kaity dressed before feed time again.

Hey frog- I will PM you my name as I would be more than happy to add you as a friend on facebook! Gotta love the social networking sites. I am glad to hear that you had a great birthing experience, the snuggles and bonding sounded divine wub.gif biggrin.gif

Last night with Kaili was quiet good, fed every 2-3 hours and wasnt very grisly in between meaning that I woke up feeling wonderful and rested tongue.gif wub.gif After such a great night she spent about 5 hours awake today, not grumpy, just very alert and wanting cuddles tongue.gif With lots of hugs from her smitten daddy, I got a lot of stuff done around the house and it is back to it's clean old self which I am absoloutley loving. But, as luck would have it, she finally zonked out about 5 minutes before our very first house guests arrived laugh.gif and spent the whole time sleeping! Haha, she has fed twice since and is asleep again. Hopefully she doesn't decide to spend too much time awake tonight as hubby and I plan to go and register her birth tomorrow and do some shopping- who knew how quickly we would get through those baby wipes??! wub.gif

Oh, on the topic of Facebook, I noticed while stalking that the March Mummies made a group on there for themselves, so perhaps that would be a nice idea for us too if people are willing to join? I know some of us are already friends on there but I would love to get to know everyone a little better!

time will definently zoom along now - it's scary crazy laugh.gif

well after 3 non-sleeping children seems i've scored (for now at least) the epitome of Garfield children - he eats/sleeps/poops - LOVE IT!! last night he went 8.30pm - 1am, then not until 5.30am when the others woke up (we have a lovely bug in the house atm and the bigger little ppl have it, i've scored a viral infection as well - great times laugh.gif) during the day he goes every 3-4hrs, feds on one side for 10-15mins and goes back to sleep - works for me laugh.gif i'm taking this whilst i can before it all changes again laugh.gif

Hi ladies and babies biggrin.gif

Hope we are all having fun in our attempt to decipher these new little people wub.gif

I just thought i would drop in as i finally remembered what it was that i wanted to tell you ladies for the past weeks laugh.gif

Early on in the mum-to-be thread somebody mentioned HOTMilk lingerie so i thought i should share what i found incase anyone is interested. HOTMilk are made in NZ and i have discovered somewhere online that has some of their stuff cheap. After paying full price for one bra at the local shop i tried to find somewhere to pick up another at a discount and stumbled upon this online maternity store. Factoring in the price of postage from NZ to AUS i still saved $15 per bra and i had to get the full price ones because my size wasn't available on the specials when i looked smile.gif Some styles are only $30 AUS if they have your size ohmy.gif Well worth a look and you can get the site to display prices in $AUS at the top right of a product page smile.gif Oh and they arrived from the store wrapped in pretty paper and ribbons like a little present so it brought a smile to my face wub.gif

And I thought it might be nice to bring over the birthdays from the other thread too...

Wow Sam! James sounds like such a great little sleeper- it must make it nice, especially with the girls to look after as well.
Jaycee, thanks for the heads up on Hotmilk- my boobs have gotten HUGE and the 16DDs from BigW are BARELY containing the girls laugh.gif I will have a look at hotmilk, and hopefully get something nice for myself.
Kailiana a.k.a Gizmo has been ok lately, but has decided that her witching hours are between 12-4. Last night we woke her up from her normal 9-12 nap at 11 and gave her a bath, feed and read her a book before putting her to sleep and lo and behold her witching hours changed from 11.30 - 3. laugh.gif During that time no amount of feeding, changing, swaddling, rocking, patting or singing will settle her, but after about 20 minutes of crying (with pats on the tummy from mum) she drifts off to sleep. The cry that she gives is such a girly whingy cry, it sounds so effortful- lol tongue.gif'
She is going very well though, weighed in yesterday at 3860 gms, up from her birth weight of 3500 ohmy.gif

I am off to make that Facebook group now biggrin.gif Will post the details when it is done biggrin.gif

Hope all mums and bubs are good!

fantastic work on the weight gain hun - James has pulled similar nbrs, up 300g in the last week - to say a touch shocked is an understatement - i'm not used to my BF babies gaining rapidly laugh.gif

it's great how he sleeps but i know tmmrw that could all change so i'm going to enjoy it whilst i can - adrian is on leave for another couple of weeks but still it's nice to have them all sorted out and in bed and sleeping smile.gif

i need new bras as well - alas hot milk does not come in super cuddly sizes ROFL - i'm pushing out of the DD's atm, crazy i tell you - i actually had to buy a pump today after laying in bed last night on my back and having the perky breasts of a teenager laugh.gif

elyse has her little girl wub.gif

Hi girls,

Hope everyone is doing well, both mums and babies.

I have been so busy and finding time to come in here and reply is difficult, I have read the posts but not getting a lot of time to do anything else.

Hayden is doing ok, sleeping in our bed for some of the night (which I am not minding too much as it means Brad stays well away from me and no chance of any more babies lol) he sleeps for about 4-5 hours at a time through the night, waking about 3 hourly through the day (which is fine because I am up then anyway) so he seems to know night from day which I like.

I have been pretty emotional this time around, putting it down to having way to much to do and not enough hours to do it all in, Brad is on holidays but I am still doing the majority of the work, mainly because I think I put too much pressure on myself to make sure things are still done that I used to be able to do before Hayden, so I have to keep telling myself to take things a bit easier and not be so hard on myself, if I don't get something done it is not going to kill me, it will still be there tomorrow, just so long as the children are fed and clean.

Sorry I think I needed to get that off my chest.

I have my step-sisters wedding next weekend and ATM I don't have anything to wear, I have a few black dresses I could wear but her bridal party are wearing black and white so I don't want to intrude on that although she did say it wouldn't matter, I think I would just feel bad, maybe I will have to go out and buy a new dress, what an excuse to go shopping.

Anyway I must go and get ready for bed as Hayden is asleep now and I should sleep while he is.

Talk soon
Cheryl
