The worst thing I have found is trying to explain my colour scheme to people. I say red, and they think Bright Red. Not quite Burgandy... But if you grab a blender throw in your raspberrys, blueberrys etc etc... thats the colour, lol "berry" lol

Anyway Thank you!!
Yay, One comment in 2012, thought every month or so I would just comment myself, lol

I am looking forward to this expo, and some bonding time with my mother, and hopfully my sister can have an imput...

haha, yeah!! My partner has the great taste. He proposed. It was our 2year 1month anniversary! Unfortunately he couldn't keep a secret and I found out about the ring in July that year, so to keep me off the trail of 'when' he would propose he waited till then!

I will admit our anniversary did roll around on the 21st Oct and when nothing happened I was so dissappointed! lol

Yes, I just found out the venue "Town Hall" has received a Grant to get new tables and chairs as well as to upgrade the kitchen (which was deemed unusable)
This means I nolonger have to Hire tables and chairs, cutting my budget down 3grand
As well as not needing to book a mobile kitchen and caterer. Now I can get a local Caterer to put together a menu and quote.
I am soooo happy!! Means there is more money to spend of the Micsellanious items

So its been months now since I have posted.... the year has gone so quick, I have felt its silly to start any wedding planning, especailly since I've been so busy with the rest of life, work, big birthday bashes, selling our car, etc etc.
So far I have a melbourne trip coming up in September and it will be past my 18month mark till the wedding day... so I promised myself I would start having appointments... It makes me nervous to think that the year has gone quick and its already half way through...

I have changed my mind so many times its stupid... I see other ideas and I love them, they are the flavour of the month, Then I let people get up my nose about what colour I chose, especially my mother, she seems to have a negative comment about all the colours I choose bar the one she likes... I love the vintage look, especially the french pavillion furniture, thats the look I want... off white chairs and tables. a really light dusky rose pink (really light pink) mixed with cream - off white.
[attachmentid=1237]

I'm a size 12-14. So most likley I'll be a size 14. I hate my tuck shop arms, But no capped or sleeve dresses suit me. I havent tried on a dress yet, I'm afraid too... in case I look hidious... I have made myself proud by losing 8kgs, only to put on 3kgs... I am trying hard to get through the winter blues, keeping the kilos off are more important to me right now!!

Because of my broad shoulders, I need to have a dress with a deep V top. Due to my large hips an A line would suit me best... those little details as well as finding a dress in Organza material is going to be a nightmare along with finding a dress to suit me... You all on here who have posted gorgeous, and say you feel that way when you put on "the one" so I hope my day comes soon!!

I dread buying my perfect dress and putting on weight, it happened for my leavers dinner wacko.gif Yep, I was a skinny size 10 to a size 12 within 6months.....

Hi Cami...I would love to join you in here and can't believe it - we are getting married the SAME DAY AS YOU!!!!!

Here's a bit about me...

Name: Trez
Age: 30
Birth date: 20 April 1980
Partners Name: S (Optional)
Partners Age: 30
Location: South West of WA

How long have you been with your partner: 4 years in March 2011
When did you get engaged: 1 July 2010
Wedding Date: 21 April 2012 - SNAP!!!
Why 2012: Giving us enough time to plan & save for it!
Wedding Colour/Theme: Aqua, Mint Green & White (kinda beachy without the beach)

Describe your situation right now:
[ ] Just Engaged
[X] Engaged, Just starting planning
[ ] Mid way through planning

What is your favourite...
Colour: Pink
Food: Way too many to choose from...I love food!
Animal: No pets
Season: Summer cool.gif

What do you do for work: Financial Planning Assistant and Zumba Instructor
Hobbies: Shopping & sleeping
Kids: Will be going ahead with IVF after our wedding
Plans to have kids: 2 or 3

What are the 3 things about you that make you who you are?
1. Confidence
2. Happy 99% of the time
3. My family & friends - they are my world...

So it's been a while since I've posted on i-do. I originally joined in 2009 in the TTC section and left in Sept 2010 to take some time out from talking about TTC...I'm just about to post an update in that section though for those wonderful friends I made while I was in the cafes so feel free to have a read.

I've recently booked my ceremony and my hairdresser/make up artist as they are the only things that haven't cost me anything so far to book! Well my ceremony cost $32 for a liquor licence and because it's the council gardens, it will cost nothing on the day. A photographer is meeting with us on Tuesday next week and I think we will be booking him so have had to borrow some money off my dad to pay for the booking...but dad has told me that the money will be part of what he is giving us for the wedding. BONUS! biggrin.gif

Like you, my colour scheme sounds weird but aqua will be the main colour and the mint green is mixed in more for the bridesmaids dresses. I will post a pic of the ones I like when I'm at work as I have them on my work computer. I'm a size 14 and hoping to lose weight this year - haha yeah right! I've been teaching Zumba for 8 months now and haven't lost a thing...but I do eat quite a bit!!! Oops! I have found a dress that I love so fingers crossed that it looks great on me!

So it's been a while since you posted...where are you now up to in your plans?

Anyone else getting married in 2012?

Nice Zumba instructor, that would be fun?
I am a size 14 and hoping to lose more weight. I have a dress picked out but a recent trip to a bridal store to look at bridesmaid dresses has me thinking i want to change (its the biggest no no in the book to look at other dresses)
I have piccys of me in my first dress but they are horrible and badly taken, so now this other dress I look slimmer and great... So, I'm booking a new appointment to try on my first dress again!! PLUS i've been roped into a DESIGNER weekend, which lets you sit down with a designer and they tell you what suits you and designs you a dress based on what i like. No obligation!!
So to go or not to go??

New colour scheme is black, rose pink and champange/cream

i've booked the venue, caterer, ceremony venue, someone to marry us, photographer, my girls know who they are, but my partner is procrastinating!! So its the decisions like cake, table decor, MY DRESS and the girls dresses, etc etc etc... oh and the more i list them out the more i realise i need to do and think about!! wacko.gif

A few things like xmas holiday and the tragice and sudden death of my mother in law has left the planning stage come to a stop. I am just starting up again.

A few things like xmas holiday and the tragice and sudden death of my mother in law has left the planning stage come to a stop. I am just starting up again.

Being a Zumba instructor is SUPER fun! I've been dancing since I was about 3 and love it so much - Zumba just lets me keep dancing while keeping fit too...I teach 3-4 classes a week and I'm always thinking of new routines, especially while driving and listening to my iPod (so best not to drive anywhere near me!!! tongue.gif )

My advice would be to GO see this designer if it's no obligation. I think designers are great at working with different body types. At least you can hear them out and if you don't agree, well then it's just a couple of hours out of your time. I'm hoping the dress I love suits me - I've got a small bust and wide hips so I've chosen a dress that is meringue style! That should cover the hips and boost the bust. I'm such a girly girl too. This weekend I'm going to try on dresses just for fun...you never know I guess!

I understand you pain with FH chosing his boys! I had chosen 2 of my girls and told FH that he had to pick his and how many coz my list of girls could be endless but I was hoping he would choose 3...and he did (with a bit of tweaking from me!) so now we have 3 each. That's enough for us. My MOH has been married & divorced, the other BM's - one is married and the other one is getting married next month - so they are all experts! Bonus!

A friend of mine has offered to make our cake. She's not a professional but she makes really nice cakes so I think that will help us out there. I just want a simple, elegant cake. And the photographer who I want is coming down to meet with us 2moro so I'm excited about that! Really need to pick a reception venue tho...we don't know whether to go with a place that does everything, like a hotel restaurant or do we do it ourselves and just hire a hall??? So many decisions! biggrin.gif

PS So sorry to hear about your MIL...

I have zumba on dvd but have two left feet, some moves I have picked up but others I struggle with. Your right I pretend I'm learning a new dance routine like back when i use to go to dance.
Ok, I'll listen to you. Your've convinced me. If its NO obilgation I might as well just go and see what they can give me!!! I may be suprised!!
I am a pear shape, but have unsightly bulky arms which would make me closer to a cello (sp? big violin lol) My dress is fitted trumpet style... which everyone thinks is the one, i really like it but I'm afraid it will be a fashion DONT. blink.gif

I had chose 3 girls, I really wanted 6 but stopped myself at 3. My partner told me to only have 2 at the time. I sat down with him and asked who he wanted, he managed to roll off 5 names! well, now i have him sitting on it for another 6 months till he decides. I would gladly have the 6 BM's but just managing 3 opened my eyes and I think I'll stick with the smaller number (less girls to please!) One of my girls are married with 2 girls and the other two are not married, one is very enthusiastic always sending me links and photos. The other (my sister) only wants to talk about her dress and her hair etc... rolleyes.gif

I too want a very simple elegant cake. I have seen them all and I just want something simple covered in butter cream, few flowers - thats its. I'm not lucky enough to have a friend who is good at making cakes (I am that person lol) I live 2hrs away from the closest city so I'd have to get one made there and someone to pick it up

I have my local hall as our reception venue - its the only place that can fit my large family in. I havent scheduled an appointment with my photographer yet. I'll have to get onto that!! I have to hire tables unless my local council gets a grant for updating the tables in the hall. That would be a financial ease. biggrin.gif

p.s. MIL past away suddenly after an electric shock from her sink.
