I think you mentioned pretty much all of them. The only other ones for the ceremony that I can think of is a song for vows and ring exchange, and if you have a votive candle ceremony, there's a song for that. Other than those two, you will probably want to pick a first dance song, mother son, and father daughter song.

We had 5 songs on a CD that started with me walking down the isle then was stopped for the ceremony and started again with track 2 when we kissed. This then played for about another 20 minutes which was plenty of time smile.gif

I had 1 song for the aisle, 3 for the kiss/signing and 2 for the recession bit. So for the ceremony I had 6 in total. I found that 3 for the signing worked perfectly timing-wise. For the reception we had 3 songs mashed together for our first dance/entrance, 1 entrance for Best man & Bridesmaid, another for 2nd GM and BM, 1 for our cake-cutting, 1 for the farewell circle and 1 for leaving. In total we had 6 main ones for the reception as well, but they did also ask for songs for the boquet and garter toss and for the first dance of the dancing bit after dinner (because we did our dance when we entered the reception), but those we just chose randomly at the meeting with the reception dude.
There is a thread here which lists peoples song choices which will also give you an idea of how many songs you will need

music are part of the ceremony of course. but having bounty list of songs, undoubtedly you are a music lover.
But Songs that must be served during the Wedding is another story.
I've been attending weddings but what I notice all the Songs in the Church are different used in the reception.

The Couple choose 1 of their favorite Song for walking down the aisle. I remember they have 5 favorite music while at Church. in the Reception that was many....mixed music they have love song, Jolly song. Reception music have more fun but elegant.

Timely thread for me, thanks ladies, trying to nut out which songs to use, I had only thought of 3 for the ceremony, but looks like I could use a couple more to have up my sleeve.

Hi Casey,

For your reception you might want to have songs for the Bride & Groom Entrance, Cutting of the Cake, Bridal Waltz (2 or 3) and some special songs during the throwing of the Bouquet & Garter and the wedding circle before you leave.

Your DJ should be able to recommend these at a meeting you have between you & your fiance and your DJ.

I discovered that 4 for the marking worked flawlessly timing-wise. For the greeting we had 3 songs mashed simultaneously for our dance.
