We had a rehearsal at the venue, and had planned to go out to dinner with everyone after.. but I had spent the day setting up and transporting everything to our venue an hour from home and was just exhausted so I told the boys just to do as they pleased.

So my bridesmaids, mum and I went back to the penthouse suite I had booked, they got Thai and Chinese take away while I soaked in a bath and then we ate, shared some wine, and sat up talking the rest of the night. I went to bed at 11 (VERY early for me) but couldn't sleep, so went into my sisters and cousins room and we squished onto a single bed talking about the day ahead and drinking tea. I then went back to my room, opened the blinds and fell asleep staring at the city wub.gif

When I was BM for my MOH it was a different story - We had a rehearsal, then a huge family dinner, then stopped at a bottle shop and went back to her mums. We all got very tipsy, and at 2 am were trying to call radio stations so we could announce she was getting married today ph34r.gif laugh.gif Lucky her ceremony wasn't until later in the day we had some recovery time, it was so much fun!

We had travelled for our wedding, so we had a family dinner at a restaurant then hubby and i had a spa and hit the hay early (yep- another who broke with tradition laugh.gif ) The best thing about being with my husband was just the 2 of us having breakfast together on the morning of our wedding, spending some quiet time together and enjoying and getting excited that today we were getting married!! It was truly a special time, just us!! wub.gif

We had the BEST night before our wedding. BMs and I were staying in a luxury cabin at the place our reception was at and the lads were staying in a house on another part of the property. We went for dinner at a pub on the mountain with a heap of my family, and after they left we stayed having a couple of drinks with our friends. We wandered into another room of the pub and they were doing karaoke, so a few of us got up to sing (not me, though DH and I considered a duet of 'Going to the Chapel'). Was such unexpected fun.

When we got back to our accommodation everyone crowded into our cabin and were playing some of the musical instruments we had ready for the wedding, talking, drinking, mucking around - at one point DH and I slipped out quietly and went for a walk together under the stars, ending up on a quiet, peaceful lawn cuddling and talking about the next day. wub.gif

We had our rehearsal at 7.30pm and then went to preview our cake (a lady that works from home). The bridal party and family went to MIL's house for a BBQ and a few drinks but hubby and I came home and mopped the floors and went to bed! Sounds silly now but I wanted the house nice and clean for when the photographer came to do the bridal prep shots! biggrin.gif

I spent the day before shopping with one of my bridesmaids and we went to see a chickflick. Got home about 6 ish where I had dinner with my parents and grandma. After that I sat down and watched cricket with dad before heading to bed about 10.

Not entirely sure why this thread's been reported blink.gif

DH and I spent the night before our wedding together. Due to some unfortunate circumstances the week before I was feeling very emotionally drained and wanted to just be with DH.

I think I also posted on here at about 1:30am when I couldn't sleep laugh.gif

We discovered early on that it was around the same price or slightly less to stay in a suite with dinner and bed and breakfast at our venue (The S0fitel Mansion hotel) as it was to hire a nice wedding car.

So we went to our venue at about 3pm the day before our wedding.. unpacked all our stuff into our room.. hubby and I wrote his wedding reception speech, we had a lovely dinner together and some champagne, and enjoyed some quiet time together and watched some tv or movies I think on the laptop.. it also meant that we were at our venue in the morning and could just get up and start getting ready when we wanted which was awesome!

We do everything together, and it was hard enough for me when hubby left our room to get ready in his best man's room.. those few hours apart before our wedding I kinda missed him (very strange to say).. it was probably the biggest step in our lives together, and it seemed weird to be starting off in the direction of making that step without him - even though I met him at the altar - I missed him so much my first response was to take his hand and give him a kiss before we got under way.. lol wub.gif

We had our wedding in Sydney and are living in Darwin. Both parents places were far too full for us to stay at the night before our wedding.
The day before our wedding was last minute running around and then going out to dinner with DH's family for his dad's bday wacko.gif dry.gif (which was 6 months before hand, but they insisted on it because they were annoyed we didnt invite all of the randoms they wanted us to). So, we left that early taking our Best man (DH's bro) and my bridesmaid (DH's sis) with us. Picked up my other bridesmaid and then headed over to the hotel (my brother was the other GM but went out with friends that night and slept at mums). We stayed up until at least 1 oclock watching 2 1/2 men with our bridal party while eating red rock deli chips. laugh.gif It was awesome though tongue.gif

My bridesmaids (a friend and my sister) had dinner with my parents out at a nice pub (my parents live about 90 minutes from where we held our wedding so easier to just go out for dinner). Then my bridesmaids and I went back to my place where we dranks a very nice bottle of red, watched a DVD and went to bed...I hardly slept a wink!!

I arranged to stay in the hotel for the night before the wedding and the night of our wedding, which dh and I would go back to! I am v close to my mum and living on different continents means I don't get to spend much quality time with her. Therefore arranged forjust mum and I to spend the night together - we had dinner in the restaurant and drank some bubbly - it was lovely! My bm then joined us in the morning for some girly pampering!

Havent had the wedding as yet, but know what will be happening the night before as we will all be in Vegas.

We will all go to dinner somewhere (havent decided where yet) and then head to see the 7.30pm viewing of Cirque de Soleil 'O' at the Bellagio, then head back to the hotel for beauty sleep before the big day.. smile.gif

I was staying in an apartment with my BM's and Mum the night before so I invited a few other close friends over and we had my Mum made us all dinner then we went and had a spa with a few drinks before heading back to the apartment to watch some DVD's before bed. Was a great night.

We had our rehersal at 6 pm
Dinner with the family and bridal party at 7pm
Then the bridesmaids, my children and myself stayed at the little place at the reception centre (even though the ceremony wasn't going to be there)

It was a great night and a beautiful view in the morning.

The boys stayed at Ben's parents place!
