not really a celebration as such but just wondering what all you lovely ladies got up to or will get up to the night before your weddings.

Hey there, we don't have our parents houses to stay at, they have moved away so I am spending the night with my bridesmaids in a motel, not sure what we are going to get up to exactly but its sure to be very girly and fun!

We all stayed in the B&B on the property of the venue (garden wedding) and watched 'Only You' with Robert Downey Jr while eating pizza...

My mum, brother, grandparents, aunt, uncle, 2 cousins (one of whom was bm) and my two other bm's + moh's hubby all stayed at a holiday house near our venue. It sounds crazy, having 13 people get ready together, but these truly are my nearest and dearest, and I will always cherish those memories. We all went out for dinner, then came back, chatted, primped and preened... I was so excited I hardly slept... Ahhh, it was so much fun!! laugh.gif

Mine and hubby's parents went out for dinner with all the extended family of their generation who were visiting from interstate. Hubby wanted a quiet night (and probably needed an early night after 'overdoing it' at his bucks night the night before wacko.gif) so spent it at our house with his best man. The rest of our overseas guests who were staying with us, and I, ordered in gourmet pizzas, had a few beers, and chilled in front of the TV for a few hours! Everything was organised by that stage and it was nice to kick back and relax. I went to bed at 11, which was unheard of for me ohmy.gif so maybe the relaxing worked biggrin.gif

I stayed the night in the Penthouse with my BMs. BM and I got there kinda early and went for a swim then went and had our manicures. After everyone arrived we ordered in Thai Food, had Birthday cake for my BM whose birthday it was on our Big Day, painted our toenails, watched Top Gun which was on TV and were generally girly. It was a really lovely relaxed night.

And was very handy for getting ready the next moring cos everything was already organised and hair and makeup came to us. Only thing we had to go out for was breakfast, which was very nice at a beachside cafe.

I had dinner with my parents, sisters and Dad's parents and sisters, BIL and their kids since I hadn't seen most of them for ages. Hubby had dinner with his friends who had all just flown into town that afternoon.

Afterwards my MOH and I went back to our hotel room (we stayed the night before at the reception venue) and chilled out with a good friend with some champers and tea (MOH was pregnant, she had the tea tongue.gif )

It was really nice to have a fairly relaxing evening, I certainly needed the destress after spending the past few days running around getting stuff sorted.

My BM and one of my sisters stayed at my BMs house.

I can't remember the specifics, but remember how much I wished we'd broken tradition and I had stayed with hubby sad.gif It was the biggest thing we'd ever done, and I was so nervous and excited, and really wished I had him there to talk to and share all my feelings with. Not that my girls weren't wonderful of course.

Given my time again, I would have stayed at home with him and his family, and then went our separate ways in the morning.

My bridesmaids and I spent the night in adjoining rooms at the hotel where our reception was. We ordered in room service, did some girly things like discuss woman issues etc. It was a great night! Then we had a buffet breakfast before getting ready the next morning!

I stayed at Mum and Dad's. I even remember that we had BBQ chicken and salad for dinner, LOL.
I think I drank a bottle of wine because I was so nervous

I stayed at the wedding venue with 2 of my 3 bridesmaids (the 3rd has two small children and as she would spending the following night away from them didn't want to spend both nights away understanably).

We had some drinks in our room, then went across the road to the local bowling club and had dinner, then an interstate friend who was already at the venue called and so she came across the road to meet us and we drank (a lot) and were a great source of entertainment for the patrons of the club LOL. We then went back to our room, went to bed far too late, but woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed the next morning, ready to go.

On the day of the wedding hubby and his mates and a few other guests went across to the club after their golf game and prior to the ceremony - the club staff said "oh - so it is your wife to be and her friends that were in here last night polishing off our wine supply" - oops - everyone thought it was hilarious.

It was a FANTASTIC night!!!!!!

Hubby and I went out to dinner with my brother, my MOH, our best friends, and our friends that had travelled overseas to attend our wedding. It was lovely.
