Rach, that part got me too - what an amazing woman. The love emulating from those pages is just incredible - wow.

I've worked with lots of kids with Down Syndrome and they have such a way of making your heart melt with love and pride wub.gif Such beautiful children wub.gif

wow, what an amazing story. So truthful and raw and just beautiful.
The photos are amazing. I was ok, until I saw the big sister crown... and then the photos of how she just fitted in and now im bawling!
I do agree, what a beautiful mother and family in its entirety.

Wow. What a lovely story. I'm all kinds of teary after reading that.

Nella is adorable. In a couple of the photos, you can see she already has wisdom and strength. A face that may be new to this world, but so worldly and knowing.

Sweet little thing wub.gif

a gorgeous story.... what a wonderful momento to have of your darling child's arrival into this world

on a completely self indulgent side topic: favours for the birth of your baby?? Gorgeous as they were, please don't let that American trend find its way over here.

I know Liza_Jane I loved looking through the pics and reading the story (which was beautiful) but I was a bit suprised that they had so much "fuss". Don't get me wrong. I think it was just gorgeous. But I think they had 2 or 3 photographers at the birth and following it?? And crown and champagne...
But I went to her blog thingy and I think that she is a photographer. So perhaps that explains it. I am presuming that the pictures were taken by other photographer friends.
Of course they had no idea that little Nella would be born with Down Syndrome. I think it makes the fact that they took the pictures even more special.

My favourite part (and the part I fell apart at) is: "Love me. Love me. I'm not what you expected, but oh, please love me"

That's what got me too. Such a beautiful story, and what a beautiful little girl wub.gif

I had tears streaming down my face reading that, so beautifully written.

Love all her photos, obviously she has some very special friends.

I too cant get over the favours and crowns etc, each to their own though.

So beautiful, emotional but truthfully scary at the same time. Sitting here with my son still growing inside of me, I cannot help but pray that I am not put in her position when I finally meet my DS, but hoping that should I be that I can find the love and strength inside of me to cope as admirably as she has done.

What a wonderful person she is wub.gif

I've had to stop reading as it was making me cry and I'm at work! Haha. I'll finish reading it at home where I can cry to my hearts content.

What an awe inspiring story. I love how honest she was - it must have been so hard for her, and yet it is such an uplifting and beautiful story wub.gif

And the photos..... beyond beautiful!!

I was ok till I got to this part -

will never forget the moment her little sister was placed in her arms. I watched in agony...in tears...in admiration as my little girl taught me how to love. She showed me what unconditional love looks like...what the absence of stereotypes feels like...she was...proud

then the waterworks started.

What a lucky little girl to be born into such a beautiful family with such gorgeous friends to love and support her wub.gif

Waaaaaaail!! Such a beautiful story, thankyou for sharing the link.

What a gorgeous, courageous woman to tell it like it is, how she felt, the honesty and rawness.

And what a beautiful little girl wub.gif
