I got a H harness for Alex's maxi-rider so it'll take the seat right up to 26kg. The H harness says 'from 14kg'.

Does anyone know if it's safer to stay in the inbuilt harness till 18kg or if there is no change to the safeness of the seat using the H harness from 14kg?

Definitely safer to use the 5-point harness until 18kg, no questions.

My DS is now 17kgs so this week I had a Maxirider AHR put in (did have the Meridan before) and the RTA man who installed it said because DS is still young, the 5 point harness can last for another 3-4kgs (so 20 - 21 before getting the harness, and even then he might so straight to the adult belt (apparantely that's the next option after the harness)
