ok so I need to book an appointment for hair and make up for the wedding for myself and 3 bridesmaids..and I cant figure out when the best time to make the appointments are.

The wedding is at 4:30PM, and is about a 20 min drive from my house, the hairdresser and make up lady are about ten minutes from my house.. (but at separate locations and opposite direction to the ceremony)

How far before the ceremony did everyone get their hair and make? I am worried about the heat and my lack of aircon!!

thanks!

My wedding is at 2.30 pm and have a large wedding party and one girl doing hair and make up. She was the one who suggested the time we start. smile.gif

We started at 7:00am. Makeup started at 10:00am.

Ceremony was at 4:00pm 30 mins from my house. We were 30 mins early. So I'd suggest starting at 7am then you will have enough time for photos etc.

My friend started at 6:00am for a 2:00pm wedding and at 2pm we were all ready but the bride hadn't even gotten changed or had pictures so you should definitely start sooner rather than later!

Our wedding ceremony started at 2.30 (left home at 2pm). We had three lots of make up and three lots of hair.

Hairdresser started at 10am, and make up started soon after...

Our ceremony was at 4:15 and we had hair and make up done in our hotel room. They arrived at 8am in the morning and were finished me, 3 BM's and 2 flowergirls by about 3pm. That gave us enough time to get changed and to have some photos taken.

Ask the people that you are using for your hair and make up. They will have a very good idea on how long it will take once they have done a trial...

Sorry to crash this post but I was planning on having my ceremony at 11:30am. Has anyone had a morning ceremony and gotten their hair/make-up done beforehand and what time did they have to start. I am looking at a salon that does both hair and make-up and they have 6+ workers (so hopefully we could get a few of them to be there and help) I am starting to get worried about it now, I guess the best thing for me to do is ask them?

Ask them they'll have an idea. My friend had an 11:30 wedding with 2 BMs and i know they started at 5 (though she said this was the only downfall of having an early wedding and would not have changed a thing)
