Hi ladies
well it has been sooooooo long since i have been in here!! so very long... but from time to time when i get a chance i pop in and see what you and your gorgeous little ones have been up to.

Layla is now almost 11 months old WOW i cant believe how quick they're growing up!! In the last 2-3 days she has started walking!! arghh up until now she has been taking steps from time to time and walking when holding onto our hands and stuff but nope she now stands from sitting position and starts walking and is getting into sooooo much mischief now lol. She is also eating regular meals, wont even eat anything partially mushy, which is so much easier and she seems to be enjoying meal time so much more. She also says "haz (the dog), dad and bub so clearly but i wish she would hurry up and say mum (she currently only says it when sooking lol)

what is everyone doing for birthdays?

Hello ladies smile.gif

WOW layla sounds like shes going so well smile.gif Glad to hear all is well for you guys.

Its been a little while since i was last in so ill update all.
We got over our ill period and have been pretty well healthy since.
Poor Oscar is battling with Hay fever atm and with all the wind and pollens his eyes are so red and itchy sad.gif at one stage there they were all swollen! Im going to see the weekend out and looking at taking him to the dr to get some really good eye drops to help.

Xander is going great! We have 6 teeth and he is currently cutting his top molars. His saying Mum, dad, nan, bub, no and ta. He crawls around super fast and pulls himslef up on everything. His walking holding things and loves to push the cars and trucks around. Everyone keeps telling me he will be walking before his birthday - i hope not i want him to wait for daddy to be home.
His growing up way to fast! He can drink from a straw and if he sees oscar with the cup or straw he refuses to use the non spill cups!

Im doing ok. tired. very much ready for Matt to return LOL. I actually spend 2hrs last week getting my hair done (only time away from the boys since matt left!). We spend last week back at my parents and as nice as it was to see family and friends back there it was more stressfull than being home alone. The boys routines were all our of wack and as nice as it is for people to spoil them it makes life harder when im by myself. Not to mention mums place isnt the most child friendly place and the boys dont have a whole lot to do there so were into everything.

Matt is due back in 4 weeks YAY! ON XANDER 1ST BDAY!!!
We have planned a short trip away (between 5-7nights) without the boys for after christmas to Tassie - so looking forward to that smile.gif Mum will have the boys here for that time.

OMG talk about fighting! it was always bound to happen but i didnt think it would start so soon LOL

1st Birthday plans for Xander - we are having a party for him on saturday 6th of nov. It will start out as a kids party and quickly move onto being a catch up drinking session for matt and friends LOL. I will do party foods and cake at lunch time and than will have a bbq for dinner for those who stay for the drinking session. There will be about 16 kids ranging from 1 - 11 so i will do a pass the parsel and have little party bags.

Well i gota go the boys are up and fighting again!

sis, i'm still bfing and also looking at weaning soon, ive tried to start cutting down her feeds from me but am really struggling with it as layla also wont drink cows milk. And she has now started refusing breast milk from her cup will only drink water from it... or milk from me. Any tips or suggestions anyone?

Hiya! Sis that's wonderful that hubby is home soon, I'll bet you are beside yourself with excitement!!

All the bubbas sound so adorable and cheeky! F is the same Mish, has a paddy when you say uh-uh to him or stop. Lol they're asserting themselves! I've had to tell the girls to stop letting him get his way all the time, they let him pull their hair etc and laugh at him when he spits and blows raspberries while he's eating rolleyes.gif I've told them we'll have a monster on our hands by the time he's two if they keep letting him bahve so badly!! Are your girls the same with Georgia??! I love that photo you put up of her on FB in the picnic basket! wub.gif

Well we've been so busy here renovating the kitchen/family room and laundry/toilet. I've had no facilities for ever now and still another week until I have a sink and cooktop. So over it to be honest but the kitchen does look lovely biggrin.gif

No sign of weaning here, F is still on 4 bf a day!! He's still such a little bubba in that respect, puts his little hand up to his mouth and makes the bf noise when he's tired/hungry. I guess that's what you get when you feed to sleep. Three nights ago he moved into his room for overnight sleeps sad.gif sad.gif but it seems to be working, he's sleeping 8-7am now. It's bittersweet, my last bubba next to me, I miss his breathing and little sighs and feel a bit weird having nothing next to the bed, like I'll fall out! lol.

I wondered if this thread was still going and how all the mamas and bubbas were going? So lovely to hear that are all on the move and chatting away.

I can’t believe nearly a year has gone by and last year we were all eagerly awaiting the arrivals of our little people. And that’s what they are now... little people with heaps of personality from what I’ve read.

I’m ridiculously in love with my little girl and I have to admit I enjoyed her even more after we got back from sleep school and I could appreciate her more happy.gif . She’s so on the ball and doesn’t miss a trick and watches everything I do so avidly and then tries to copy. You have to be so careful don’t you! She say’s bye-bye, dada, mum-mum... her knew favourite one is “eh” in the garage and the bathroom because it echo’s. LOL. She also loves “singing” along with me in the car.

She does a one legged crawl which we call the wounded soilder and loves pulling herself up on everything. I’m hoping she’ll postpone walking at least until we get back from the UK. We’re going on Sunday and we’ll celebrate her birthday there which will be nice because the last time we went over was when she was 9 weeks old for my dad’s funeral.

I have to say I’m not looking forward to the flight with a very active 11.5 month bubba!

Like I mentioned, I started to get into the swing of being a mum when we got our sleep sorted out and now I think it’s the best job in the world! So much has happened in a year. I can’t believe our baby’s are no longer really baby’s. I’m sad but I’m also enjoying watching her grow and develop. It’s truly amazing. wub.gif

Oh there you all are, and I see SJ is in the topic at the moment!

Sis that's nice that hubby will be home for Xanders 1st bday. You'll be so relieved when he gets back. I hope Xander doesn't snob him!

Mish I can't believe you're being posted elsewhere again already! How exhausting. It's cute that Georgia loves her sisters, Indi loves to hang out with her cousin who's 5 and all her friends.

Indi's a little madam. Very strong willed, she yells at me all the time! Oh, and she squeals, not a cute one, a high pitched (hurts your ears) grumpy one. I've been trying to tell her not to make that noise but haven't had any luck getting her to stop yet. But she's got a really good sense of humour, she's always laughing at me. Cheeky too, she tries to run away from me!

We had her birthday party on saturday, just a small group of people, mostly family. I surprised myself though as far as my catering skills go. It's her actual birthday tomorrow though so we're giving her our presents when Paul gets home from work. It looks like I've spoilt her rotten but I just put books aside when I bought them instead of giving them to her straight away, so most of her presents are books lol.

I stopped bfing completely about 3 weeks ago. Indi's on a couple of bottles a day now and drinks plenty of water the rest of the day. Sis Indi loves to drink from a straw aswell, although we may have put her off when we gave her some soda water at her party! She didn't like that at all.

B I've been trying so hard not to laugh at Indi doing naughty things, I'm as bad as your girls! That must've been sad moving him out of your room, it's been so long.

Well, I'm waiting to see if I get my period this week. I can't remember exactly when I got it last which is really annoying, but I'm pretty sure that I'm supposed to get it by the end of the week at the latest. I'm not sure I'm ready for what I might find out!

Wow SJ, was it that long ago that you went over! It seems like it was only yesterday. How cute is it when they sing, I love that. And boy don't you feel so much better when you're getting a decent sleep!

Happy 1st Birthday Indi wub.gif
Hope you have an amazingly special day and im sure you will be very spoilt.

Yes its all very exciting with matts return getting closer. We found out yesterday that his now getting home a day early so will be home the day before Xanders bday YAY - that means we will get to spend his very special day together celebrating ass a full day not just the avo/evening. Im thinking maccas breaky, than we will go for a nice drive and have a picnic lunch somewhere and ill buy a yummy yummy cake for avo tea. Than Thai or chinese or something for dinner. I want to make this day special as it really doubles as a welcome home to matt and he will be in the gulf for his 2nd.

Xander only has 3 maybe 4 feeds in 24hrs and none of those are through the day. He has a bed time feed than will wake about 10pm for a feed than has an early morning feed somewhere between 4-6 am. Sometimes he will add in a feed abotu 1-2am but its manly only when his a bit off due to teeth. Ive started offering him a cup of milk at lunch time but a few sips is al he will take However the other day Oscar left his chocolate milk down and he got it and drank half of it LOL.

Aw Mish your move is getting so close smile.gif Bet you will be pleased to be closer to family again. Enjoy celebrating Gs birthday with her little friends before you leave.

SJ great to hear everything is going so well now and your really enjoying being a mum. It really is the best job hey. Hope you have a wonderful trip and the flight isnt too stressful smile.gif How special to be celebrating the big no 1 whilest your there smile.gif

hehe B im so bad at laughing when Xanders being naughty (and how bad is it that i grab the camera to take pics or videos to show off to daddy LOL).
F sound like his powering on and too cute about the noise to feed wub.gif

Argh i gota run i can hear children waking lol.

Oh hey i know i dont have some of you on my FB so if you want to add me im under Kristy Hawkins smile.gif

Good morning ladies

HAPPY 1st BIRHTDAY LAYLA for yesterday. Hope you had a wonderful day. Im sure mummy and daddy spoilt you smile.gif

OMG Mish 1 more sleep 1 more sleep - did you get that shopping fininshed yet?

Ive made a start on Xanders cake topper. Ive decided to make an attempt at making my own and its not as hard as i was expecting! Sure the bits are not perfect but time and practise will improve smile.gif
If anyone is interested im using the theme 'one speial boy' found here http://www.partykids... Party Products His cake will be a 6" chocolate cake covered with pale blue fondant and i have made a train and car still to make a plane for the topper. Ill than make patty cakes in chocolate and butter cake ice them with white chocolate ganashe and ill be making small 2d fondant cut outs of a car train and plane.

Ive also now decided i want to put together a present tower to give him on the day of his party from us. Im planning to get blue gift boxes in different sizes and put a small gift in each (eg little cars / trucks, snad pit moulds, bath toy that sort of thing).

On top of birthday and party plans im trying to work out a special gift for the boys to give matt when he returns (he was away for both his birthday and fathers day and even though we sent him something small id like to give him something special for those and a welcome home). Ill have the boys making a nice home made welcome home card next week, i have a nice box here i plan on putting his fav goodies in and we'll have a nice home cooked roast lamb for dinner. Im just stuck as to what else id like to get him (keeping in mind that his bak at sea from late Jan-mid Nov next year).

Ive booked in for new over due family photos for the wednesday matts home smile.gif doing it in the 1st week means we dont have to work around his extremely busy work hrs.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't visited in a very long time blush.gif
I hope you & your toddlers-in-training are well!

We've been busy finishing off the renovation/extension of our house.

Nadia is really good, and oh so lady-like which is a classic. Her favorite things to do are walk around the house with my handbag waving bye bye like royalty, then getting my shoes or jewellery and trying them on. She will be a flower girl soon in Fiji. We went to try on dresses and she held up one side of the dress & twirled around. On the flip side she loves playing in the dirt and trying to work out how things are engineered. It amuses us to no end!

We're hoping baby #2 will be on it's way in the not too distant future for us wub.gif

Wow, expecting #4 Mish!! How are you traveling?

What else is news in your worlds?
