My little one has just turned 6 months and I’m interested in going up a dummy size for her.

She has always only used the NUK starlight brand, however we come from a small country town and I can’t buy them here, so I started looking on the net to see if it would cost me more to have a trip out of town, or just order them over the net, and I stumbled across the choice website – and I’m totally horrified to find out that choice have done some testing and found that some babies can get the entire soother in their mouth.

So can anyone give me a few recommendations of dummies with bigger mouthpieces/shields (we have tried the happy baby brand – she spat them out)

TBH if my son had tried harder or we had ignored him im sure he would have been able to fit his Avent in his mouth too. OH will only let him have his dummy now if he is sucking on it ( he was the one that saw him do it )

Im not too worried. Ry has his dummy during the day when he is whingy. I read/was told unsure which one but a child can only swallow something that can fit in a film canister. Whether thats true or not but it makes sense.

Tommee Tippee have some novelty one's. I have bought some of the frogs and they appear a little larger.

Have you tried the Happy Baby orthodontic teat ones? Mayana rejected the cherry teats, but loves the others. We also have picked up a couple of the Big W brand ones and they seem to be a very similar shape. The shield part of those is huge and I can't imagine any baby being able to get them in their mouth!

Update, Nina will take the standard TT but not the frog or the lion, I'm annoyed as the teat is a different shape sad.gif
