Hi girls.

We are just about to start our IVF and are looking at using Me#*plan to finance it. We are over the safety net so in the end it is only going to cost us about $1600.00 which my parents are going to pay for. I don't want to have to ask my parents for the full up front bit and was wondering if anyone else has used this way of funding their IVF.

I guess my questions are:-

1. Were they reliable?
2. Did they pay for everything including medication?
3. Do you have an obligation to stay with them once you have paid off your treatment?
4. Did you find them great to work with?

I am going to look at sending my application away tomorrow as we are going to pick up meds next Monday.

Thanks in advance.

People often say that you should not do business with family, the same goes for borrowing money in my books. My sister borrowed money for IVF Treatments from our parents and from the get go it created problems which indirectly led to them no longer speaking to each other.

There are so many fantastic medical finance options out there i just think that we should all keep the money issues away from the family.

My parents always want to help people and I realise that most parents just want to help, but you have to draw a line in the sand and tell them you will not borrow money from them.
