Clearly i spoke too soon - the stress has kicked in! wacko.gif

My bro (in london) messaged me last night before he got on the plane, wanting to know if he could bring another friend to the wedding, or alternatley his first friend wouldn't come. blink.gif After a furious facebook conversation he's bringing his ex/still good friend girlfriend instead which i'm much happier with - however this leads onto needing to do MORE placecards and updating my seating chart which i had already printed into matching paper - and of course i was out of the paper... so to the shops this morning (god i NEVER want to see this paper again!) and i'm doing my final print tomorrow morning so help me god!

Picked up my dad from the airport this evening... let's just say our relationship is strained. Mum and Dad have been split before the beginning of time and he hasn't had that much to do with my life, especially since i moved up here.. i think he's only met FH a few times! So naturally his plane was delayed and the parking Nazis were in full effect at the airport so i was driving around and around and around and around!

FH and I decided to turf the rehearsal dinner last night which was a good choice since dad's flight was so delayed. We pretty much had time to go home, grab some takeway for tea (perfect diet food rolleyes.gif ) and head to the chapel for our rehearsal!

So the rehearsal is done - like you Kay - not too happy with it. I guess it's because as brides we have busted our asses, planning, budgeting, dieting, organising and you get to the rehearsal and the groomsmen are stuffing around, no one is listening to the poor celebrant and you're actually trying to take things seriously - or was that just me? Anyway it's done with and that's the most important bit.

So now all i have left is
FRI - pick up bro from airport
drop FH off at handtherapy, at same time do final print of placecards, seating and our speeches!
FH haircut

SAT - pick up friends from the airport (17 minutes is my average time by now!)
manicure/pedicure
check into hotel
dinner with friends

SUN - GET MARRIED!!!!!

Also need to press the train of the gown, but we're going to do that the morning of the wedding. I've been instructed by many knowledgable women on cotton sheets, low iron settings etc etc.... i had thought to get it done externally, but it would get pressed (taking two days and costing at least $100) for them to put it back in a bag before returning it to me wacko.gif didn't make sense.

How's your family going Kay?

Arrgghhh - almost over!

bron, so it's the night before my wedding, all my BM's are here and fast asleep, of course I am struggling with that!
Just thought I would say being 1 day ahead if you, the stress does pass and after another blah dsy, have finished everything I can think of and we had a glass of champers and watched ' father of the bride' movie. I am feeling happy and serene and ready for tomorrow!
I hope you have the best day, hope weather is kind and that it all goes as much to plan as possible!
pics when you get them please!

well girls - it's all done! can't believe that this time yesterday i was arriving at the chapel!

my day was PERFECT! nothing could have gone any better! will put up some photos shortly!

in a nutshell i checked in to my gorgeous hotel suite with one of my BMs the night before the big day, then caught up with some interstate visitors over dinner that night. Woke up early on THE DAY and before i knew it hair and makeup were starting. i ordered in some platters of food to keep everyone's energy levels up, and then the photographers arrived and it was my turn to get all glammed up!

The girls got in their dresses, then helped me into mine. Some more photos and we were off to the chapel in the gorgeous london taxi cabs we had hired. Got to the chapel and all the guests were still outside because the boys were still having piccies inside! So they al got ushered in and we all stood around for a couple of minutes before it was time!

Headed down the aisle and all i could see was FH's face - he was crying already! The ceremony passed before i knew it (FH cried some more, costing him $100 in a bet apparently!) and we were husband and wife!

Then off around the city for various photos - the weather was SPECTACULAR! blue skies, warm, but not hot - just perfect.

Then to the reception for a big old party! the photo booth was a MASSIVE hit - our album made of their photos is a hoot! Our cake was just devine, in both appearance and taste.... shuffled more than danced through our choreographed routine, but i hadn't had enough time to practice properly and at the end of the day it didn't matter that much....

Then hubby and i dissapeared off upstairs, as quietly as possible (didn't want to make a fuss) to collapse into bed!

Phew! i'll post a bit more of a manuscipt in the newlywed thread shortly once i've got some photos up. can't wait to hear from you other Oct brides soon!

HI ladies!!!
Sorry, we moved right after the wedding and my iphone is so hard to type long posts on!
Not sue if anyone is still around, but I will fill you in anyway!
Bron, your wedding looked gorgeous! I am so glad it all turned out so well for you.
How was everyone after the honeymoon??
Well, week before the wedding was horrid, just the usual family issues that were too much to handle on top of all the things that needed doing.
But the morning came in it DIDN'T RAIN! Even though it was predicted even the day before. Hah, showed them.
It was quite cold and very windy though, but I barely noticed, except that my hair stylist wouldn't let me go outside until the limo turned up!

The BM's looked divine, I was jealous almost when they were getting ready as they looked so good, (I got don last) and after a hort power failure just before it was my go (yes I had a melt down and popped a bottle of champers at 10am!) the powers that be smiled on me and power was back and hair and makeup done!
I felt like Princess Grace when I was all done, I felt the best I ever have (FINALLY got to my goal weight the day before!) and the day was perfect. I was so nervous at the ceremony I barely remember it! (need my video now!)
My photos of the day are gorgeous and I loved them (I will try to attach someat the bottom)

My husband was ON TIME for once in his life and he an the Groomsmen looked so handsome.

Reception was flawless, just goes so quick huh!! And our wedding night hotel was amazing, so romantic and the perfect end to a perfect day.

Left on our honeymoon 10 days after on our cruise and it as SO relaxing (gained 3kgs though!)
The islands were gorgeous and the food and our balcony room were just perfect. Was great to get away and forget the stress. (will try to add some pics of that too)

I surprisingly did not feel down at all after like I expceted to. We are thinking of trying for a bub this year though, so it is something to look forward to I suppose. Anyone else considering TTC now that we are old married women??

Thanks for sharing the wedding journey with me an listening to all my gripes!
I am currently in TTC January 2011 Cafe if anyoneelse is in that boat!
