Hi girls, i need to come up with a song to walk down the aisle to.
We are having a church ceremony and the church is providing an organist but i dont know what an organist can play? Or is it just a standard 'here comes the bride'? Im sure they wouldnt mind if i wanted to provide my own music but i just dont know what. I know i want it to be sort of traditional though. Help me, i only have 20 days to go!!!

it also took me a while to find one...i know alot of the girls here had suggested canon d.
but it didn't mean anything to me or to us. so if you can come up with a song that means something too you. it's hard i know..but you'll get there.
anyway my walking down the aisle song is alicia keys - if i ain't got you

anyway, i think i spent a week listening and searching through youtube for inspiration..good luck!

I would come up with a list of your favourite songs and see if they can play any of those smile.gif Think music that already has alot of piano or acustic guitar

We had a woman with a beautiful voice play acoustic guitar and sing to 'Truly, madly,Deeply'by savage garden on the way down, and on the way out of the church she sang 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'.

I recently went to a wedding and they had a lady sing Desree - Kissing You with the music played on CD...It was fantastic!!!... and a few tears were shed

If you can have a singer it is really moving having a that 'live' feeling.... or maybe a choir?

We are also having a church wedding with an organist, a pianist and a choir .... but for walking down the aisle Im not even certain yet....but my heart is set on tradition with the bridal march.... played on the organ

We had "Songbird" by Eva Cassidy ... love that song wub.gif
"It's impossible" said pride.
"It's risky" said experience.
"It's pointless" said reason.
"Give it a try" whispered the heart...

I want This I Swear by Nick Lachey but the priest said the piece of music should only go for two and a half minutes as you dont want to chop a song off. So I am thinking either Canon D Major or Lifehouse You & Me accoustic if i can find it.

We had a violin duo and they played "The Minstrel Boy" by The Corrs. I had wanted to walk down the aisle to that since I was about 15 years old!

This Years Love by Dave Gray.
It could be done on organ.
I would have it myself but it was "our song" for me and J's dad. - So everytime I hear it I think of him. Beautiful song though!

Make your aisle music something dramatic. You want to grab your guests’ attention to ensure all eyes are on you as you make your grand entrance.Make sure that the select the perfect aisle for the wedding.Practise walking in time to your processional music.
