We have a few - and are still deciding what to use in the wedding. Our tastes vary which you will see.....

I Try - Macy Gray (was always playing when we first started going out)

Better Man - The Warren Brothers (nothing like the RObbie Williams version but beautiful nonetheless)

Lost in You - Garth Brooks/Chris Gaines album

If I ain't got you - Alicia Keys and Usher (we found it a few months ago and it has since been played on dancing with the stars which makes it a bit too trendy.....)

Love them all.

Our song is "The Luckiest" By ben folds.. although its not our waltz song (your song by elton john is), it will be featured in the reception (Shhhh, its a secret)..

here are the words.

I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here

And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?

And in a white sea of eyes
I see one pair that I recognize
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you

Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away

I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

Angry *please dont tell my wheelie boy!* Snail

Ours was by Etta James --- called 'At Last'. On oldie but a goodie!

It is beautiful and brings tears to my eyes whenever I think of it or hear it.

I walked down the aisle to Elvis Costello 'She' -- another tear jerker for me!!

Ahhhhhhhhh the memories biggrin.gif

Ours is Beautiful by Alex Lloyd

wasn't released til a few months before our wedding, but we heard it & loved it, and now whenever it comes on the radio stupid grins come over both our faces - we've also been known to call each others mobiles if one of us hears it to tell the other to turn the radio on

even sitting here typing this i have a silly grin & misty eyes!

We don't exactly have a song either, but "Brighter than Sunshine" by Aqualung is one that I really relate to... gets me teary everytime I hear it!

Here are some of the lyrics:

I never understood before
I never knew what love was for
My heart was broke, my head was sore
What a feeling

Tied up in ancient history
I didnít believe in destiny
I look up you're standing next to me
What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
Brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, i don't care
I'm yours and suddenly you're mine
Suddenly you're mine
and it's brighter than sunshine

I never saw it happening
I'd given up and given in
I just couldn't take the hurt again
What a feeling

I didn't have the strength to fight
suddenly you seemed so right
Me and you
What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
It's brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, I don't care
I'm yours and suddenly you're mine
Suddenly you're mine

We don't have a song. Not at all. How strange is that? We both love music, but our tastes don't really mix well together.

Ours is 'right here waiting' by Richrd Marx. One night about 6 months into our relationship, we woke up to the radio alarm, and that song came on. Glenn had his head resting on my shoulder and started singing it to me.

We also both love "Angels" - well, we love everything by Robbie Williams, so that will play a part in the weddin musicx that we pick!

Our song is "Romeo & Juliet", by Dire Straits - because that was the first movie we saw together.

Unfortunately, the lyrics are not appropriate - they break up!! ("It was just that the time was wrong...") I was thinking about re-writing lyrics for it and having our band play it for our first dance, but I'm running out of time! I might post it here sometime soon for suggestions...?!

'our song' is actually a bit cheesy - we worked together for 2 years before finally getting together at an awards ceremony and "Wouldnt' it be good" by Nik Kershaw was playing and we both screamed "I love the 80's!!".. and the rest was history!

But we didnt' really want to have dodgy's 80's synthesiser music for the wedding (although i'm sure we'll have it in there somewhere!), so we've decided on either "So happy together" by the Turtles or "God only knows" by the Beach boys for our first dance - and whichever one we don't have, we'll have playing as we leave the reception.....

Cannon in D (which i'm walking down the aisle to) also makes me cry!!

Our song is called Finally Found by the Honeyz. It was in the charts when we had just started going out and I called him and told him to listed to that particular station cos that song was how I felt...luckily for me he felt the same way. The lyrics are just perfect... Have a read and I think you'll see what I mean..

I can't believe you're here with me
And now it seems my world's complete
And I never want this moment to end
I close my eyes and still I see
My dreams become reality
And now I now how it feels to be in love
I prayed so many nights that you would come my way
An angel from above to light my darkest day
I think it's time for you to heed these lines
'Cos there's something I want to say

I finally found what I've been looking for
And now you know I'm going to love you more
Hold me tight 'cos it's always been you
(It's always been you)
To think that you were always there (always there)
To be my friend and wipe away my tears
Now it's clear that it's always been you

Sometimes you don't expect that friends
Can become lovers in the end
Only god knows what the future will bring
So hold me close and don't let go
'Cos this is love, boy, don't you know?
And we're gonna be together for eternity
I prayed so many night that you would come my way
An angel from above to light my darkest day
A love so strong it's can't be wrong
It's with you that I belong
