bargain hire Mish. Enjoy the christening and party preparations and celebrations once they arrive.

Tracey, good luck with teh cake. I have made both so far, but not this year.

Am I the only parent who doesn't give my child the choice of what her party theme is? laugh.gif

Taylor's eye is going well. Had follow up with surgeon/specialist on Friday. Now onto 4 hours of patching a day. Back in a month and still no swimming for another 4 weeks. Which will drag it out to what I said originally, no swimming for 6 weeks, but she originally told me 4, silly lady.
She was concerned about it at first on Friday as it appeared she was not capable of focusing with both eyes at the same time, so the bad eye was still wandering with a slight over correction making it turn outwards. But once we put her glasses on it seemed okay.

So hopefully it will continue to go well.

Mish, if I gave Taylor the choice, she would say 'something different' or 'something very interesting.....yes!' Do you see a theme here? laugh.gif (with this and what I said to Tracey about the present).
She is happy.........I say it's jungle animal and she says NO NOT JUNGLE AMIMAL, I WANT AMIMALS wub.gif or she will tell me she doesn't want a jumping castle, that she wants a trampoline biggrin.gif

Ok, sterilising finished, must get to bed. I did the dream feed in the lounge room tonight as i wanted to see the end of lost. Not that I watch it anymore.

aaaw poor Maddie!

Yay Georgia! Mish I just love how her size has not stopped her, she is incredible. I may be smaller but I am just as strong as you!

I asked Taylor this morning if she wanted to invite any playgroup friends to her party......she was most concerned as I think she thought I meant that her party was going to be at playgroup and not at home biggrin.gif

Mish, that is so cute with Georgia crawling. The mischief will definitely start now. Delaney is cute with her pink polka dot party. I don't really do themes for parties.

Amy, glad Taylor's eye is going well. They are so funny what goes through there minds re the playgroup thing.

After weeks of asking Jaz what she wants for her birthday and not getting an answer except for 'nothing' last night she comes running into the kitchen and tells me she wants a "baby skateboard". Have no idea where she got this idea and considering her birthday is on Sunday it is a bit late even if they did exist. I have half made her trial cake which I will do the icing and decorating tonight and sent to kindy tomorrow (if it works!!!). I had a dream about it last night so it must be worrying more than I care to omit.

good luck with the baby skateboard Tracey laugh.gif Would love to see pics of your trial cake. Hope it all goes well.

Mish, she didn't say she wanted any of them here laugh.gif I was trying to think of all the kids and really there is probably only one or two that I would invite. Taylor seems to be in the middle at playgroup. A bunch of kids older and more physically capable, then ones that are younger tan her and not really talking. She still loves it though.

Well I am no cake decorator that is for sure. I took a photo but didn't bring my camera into work so hopefully I can show the real thing next week and it will be a vast improvement!!! The cake is a butterfly cake and I am sure it will taste good at least. Hubby has decided that he will be in charge of the cutting and icing of the cake because apparently I didn't make it symmeterial enough and the icing wasn't great. I did the piping and sprinkles etc which looked okay. Jess thought it looked great but Jaz couldn't tell me what it was but when I told her it was going with her to kindy today for her and her friends she let out a big WOW.

Mish, Georgia reminds me of Jessica when she was a bub. She was very little too but crawled and did things quiet early which amazed everyone. Go little firecrackers.

Amy, how many kids are you having at Taylors party?

Tracey, isn't it crazy the effort we put into their cakes..........when you stop and think of it, they would be amazed with a regular iced cake biggrin.gif
Um, kids, I think about 20 ? or just under.

Mish, MAddie is doing so well. Can't believe Delaney wants to get in there already, how old does seh think she is?!?! laugh.gif tongue.gif Hope her cough clears up soon. Do you give the kids inner health/immune booster at all ? Might help through winter.

Thanks Amy.

Sorry it has taken me so long to come back in here, work and life has been crazy.

Jaz had a lovely birthday. She woke up really happy, announced she was now 3 and wanted to go to her party at 7am!! She then opened her presents which she thought were great. The party was wonderful but busy busy. We had it at in indoor play centre and thought it would be easier but with fifteen 3 year olds plus parents it was a tad crazy. The kids had a lovely time though and the cake was a big success. After all my worry about the cake it was demolished in about 5 minutes and there wasn't enough for some of the parents.

I have been trying to put some photos up on FB but it keeps crashing. Will attempt again later in the week.

Yes hard to believe that we have 3 years old (or nearly 3 year olds). Where has the time gone.

Thankfully we were all well for the birthday but have no all got colds and can see/feel that it is going to Jasmine's chest. Hoping the preventor will stop her getting really bad this time.

Oh Tracey nooo! I hope Jas can get through this cold without any problems. Hope therest of you are feeling better soon too.
I hear you on the craziness of a play centre party. My nephew has had a couple of them and it's mental.

Mish, I hope D's cough doesn't get worse. G is due back at the docs this week isn't she ?
You are getting spoilt with Jobe cuddles! laugh.gif

My poor lil man is not happy tonight. He isn't hungry, he had a giant feed (me, then 160ml ebm). If he didn't settle just before I was going to do the dream feed an hour early. He'll cry, then as soon as you pick him up he snuggles into your shoulder and is quiet, but then starts up again and it sounds like he is in pain. I thought he was getting teeth the other week, but the gp reckons no. The white marks are still there and i am trying to see if I can feel anything, but not sure if I am feeling a tooth or just part of his gum.

Taylor is miss attitude. What a joy! at least she can still make us laugh, even after being naughty. She was funny at playgroup today. When it came to row row row your boat she got up and hid behind me with hands over her ears (because of the scream part at the end......if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream). She noramlly likes the screaming part.
She told Daddy he was reading her new dorothy story all wrong tonight. Its a cd story book which she has been listening to in the car and turning the pages herself. Well Daddy got into trouble for not doing the 'dorothy noise". No Daddy, you did it wrong. You have to go 'insert dorothy noise' laugh.gif
