I heard a song on Melbourne's Mix radio station today that I think was new to the mix, and I didn't pay attention to the name of it. It turned out to be a really cool song and I want to buy it from iTunes if I can just figure out what it is! Here is what I remember from it.

* It is sung by a guy with a higher voice.
* There is a bit where he goes "laaa la-la-la la laaaa la-la-la"
* There is a piano solo which has high notes. It starts with two groups of three descending notes, the second one a touch lower than the second, and has the beat of "da-da-da .... da-da-da... da ... da-da-da" if that makes sense laugh.gif

I did catch some words from it but have forgotten them.

Please help!

Hubby also mentioned that app but it's a pity I only have an iTouch. So you can actually sing/hum in to it as well? How awesome that would be!

is an iTouch the same as an iPod touch?

I am pretty sure it can be used, as if it cant get signal it stores it in its memory, so would work when you got to a wireless area (ie home)

The iTouch is an iPhone but without the phone capabilities. I think hubby told me that the app can't be used with the iTouch, but I'll make sure just in case.

It can be used if the iPod Touch is connected to a wi fi network. You will need to attach a microphone to the iPod Touch as there is no external microphone on the phone in its native state. I think if you have headphones with a microphone you may be able to use that.

It obviously can't be used over 3G as there is no phone capability on the device.

I found out what it was! It's Change by Daniel Merriweather. They had a promo for it on the radio station I listen to, just as I arrived at work this morning. Good thing I didn't get out of the car straight away!

How funny, I wondered if it was him, but the song I was thinking of didn't have piano in it. He has such a nice voice.

LOL I'm surprised that my weird description of the song made some sense to someone laugh.gif And I must have been missing out, as I'd never heard of him before ohmy.gif Listening to the song now, maybe that isn't a piano in it afterall ph34r.gif laugh.gif

Now that I know what song you're talking about, your description makes perfect sense! laugh.gif

Triple J have played his music (collaborations with other artists) for a while, but he has only just put his own album out, so that is probably why you hadn't heard of him. wink.gif
