Just wanted to properly introduce myself…
I’ve been hanging around on i-do since last year, mainly on the wedding forums. I married my husband last September, and was utterly grateful for all the tips I read on this site.

I knew that when the time came to start thinking about all things baby-related, i-do would be my choice for real-life advice and information! In the end it took us four months to conceive, with about six months of pre-conception 'preparation' before that. I can’t seem to quite believe I’m here at last.

I’m almost 15 weeks pregnant, and was finding it a little stressful trying to absorb all the information and wondering if everything was progressing ok. I am the first in my circle of friends to have a baby and so don’t really have anyone close to compare notes with. I also had a doctor that seemed to have missed the class at uni on What to Do When a Pregnant Lady Shows up in My Consult Room. So far I’ve had the first trimester nuchal translucency scan and blood test, and booked into my hospital.
However I’m slowly starting to settle into pregnancy and will keep reading everything you lovely, helpful ladies have to offer!

Wow congratulations, its such an exciting time!!
You seem to be on track with what you need, maybe you can find a more supportive doctor/midwife at the hospital.
I hope you continue to have a wonderful pregnancy, its such an amazing time smile.gif

Thank you MrsWhitton2B, I've had one visit with a midwife at the hospital, and she was fantastic and very reassuring.

Arghh, Spesh! You're going so soon to NY! I hope everything's going well. I miss that city intensely. x
