I really want to learn how to play the song on the lifesaver ad because my little boy is absolutely hypnotised by it each and everytime he sees it.

I have figured out how to play the tune but am absolutely useless when it comes to chords (my last piano lesson was when I was 8 years old - 23 years ago). I have a book which tells me how to play each chord but I need help to figure out what they are in this song.

Are you able to listen to the song and figure them out? If you are, would you please be so kind as to help me? I would appreciate it so, so much.

I suck at 'playing by ear' but the song is called whatever it takes by Christopher Eves.

If you do some hunting you'll probably be able to find the sheet music somewhere?

I'll continue my hunting and see what I can find smile.gif

Lisa I don't have my keyboard with me otherwise I'd be able to work the chords out properly but it kinda sounds like C, F, C, G, C, F, E flat, D then C. That might not be totally accurate but if you just play those notes with your left hand (instead of the full chords - tried this out using some primitive piano software I have on my PC) then it sounds kinda ok.

Hey Lisa, I've worked it out, but had to wait until I was home and could play it through on the piano.

B (a note below middle C), C, D, Eb, F, G, F, Eb, F, D, Eb, C
B, C, D, Eb, F, G, C (Octave above middle C), Bb, A, G

Then it basically repeats.

This piece is actually well known, but for the life of me I can't remember the title of the work right at the minute! I'll get some of my piano buddies on to it. I'm just a simple saxophone player! laugh.gif
