Hi everyone,

I was just wondering what kind of lengths people stayed away for their honeymoon. (Or will for those who haven't been yet!)

Adam and I are taking four weeks off work each, and would stay away the entire time if money allowed! But at the moment we are looking at being away for around two weeks.

2 weeks... Would love to make it longer, but I will already be missing 2 weeks of classes.

Overall I will probably have 3 or 3 1/2 weeks off work (if I am working at that time).

HI - we are taking the week off before the wedding and then going on our honeymoon to bali for 10 days after the wedding. I wish it were longer. I think 4 weeks sounds like a great amount of time - i think we will need some time after the wedding to relax and destress!

In total will have 3 weeks and 1 day off.

Only 10 nights for the honeymoon Im afraid and an extra 4 days at home before going back to work. Would LOVE to have longer but the coin is tight and work would murder me.

only four days!

because i'll be starting a new job in january - and at this point i don't know what the job is, where it will be, or when it will start, we can't take a honeymoon yet.

we are spending four nights on the sunshine coast though - and with the christmas week, and a few days after, will probably be around 2 weeks that we're away.

planning on going O/S middle of the year to make up for it though.

We are only having 7 nights.

Three reasons, we need someone to feed our pusscat and we didn't want the extra expense of putting him in a cattery. Did that once and he didn't cope very well. Secondly, as I am a pensioner I only have 14 days to let centrelink know my change of circumstances. Don't want to be one of those people on Today Tonight accused of cheating the system. Last but not least, our bridal registry is our honeymoon and if we don't get enough then we don't want the extra to be too much.

We haven't finalised anything yet but at this stage we are planning a 3 week honeymoon with the entire time in Europe (apart from the weekend we will have back in Perth before going back to work). I guess I will prob take a couple of days prior to the wedding as well depending on how many last minute things need to be done.

I am taking a month off. A week before the wedding and a 2.5 week honeymoon. Catching XPT from Sydney to Brissy spending the night then next day catching Sunlander to Proserpine then a week on Hayman. Then driving a campervan up to and around Cairns, then flying home and spending a couple of days recuperating.

So looking forward to this part of the wedding. Waiting until December for all the cheap deals.

We spent 6 weeks driving around Australia - then two weeks in Mexico BUT we had both finished up with our jobs so we could move to New York so we had the time and Ash knew he wouldn't get that amount of time off again for vvvveerrrrry loooooongg time so we took advantage.

We have 23 days away, but all up, are taking 4 1/2 weeks off. It is hard though, because I can't take any time off this year to save up my leave.

We are having ten days for our honeymoon and most likely a few days off before the wedding and a few days after we get back from the honeymoon, so about three weeks all up. Would love to have longer and spend several months backpacking around Europe, but alas we are ppor and have jobs to attend to. wink.gif
