Hi ladies

I want to choose a great Christmas present for my sister-in-law this year and I'm finding it difficult to decide what to get. She's in that tricky in-between stage where she's not into kiddie things but she's too young for grown-up girl stuff. She's not particularly sophisticated or 'old' for her age, but I think she's probably grown out of the fairy and princess gear she used to love so much!

Any ideas? We're not a big spending family a Christmas so I wouldn't want to spend more than around $60.

How about a great beading/jewellery kit. My nieces love making their own jewellery and showing it off.

Also, how about a more grown up make up kit? A voucher to buy some clothes of her own choice?

OK this is not an educational suggestion, but if she has a gaming console and is into it, a new game often keeps a 9 year old happy.

My eldest is 8 and she loves anything High School Musical and Hannah Montana.

If she is into HSM you could get her the HSM3 CD which is $20 at Kmart

If she likes Hannah Montana Season 1 has just come out and its $40 at Big W

If you are thinking about make-up Lip Gloss is the best way to go. Myer have nice sets of Lip Gloss

If she has a wii games are always good. Big W have a sale this week and there are a lot for $40

Best way to determine what to get is to find out what she is into.

I like the idea of creative things. So the jewellery kit etc sound cool. Is she into crafts and things? You could buy her some glitter pens, and a diary and heaps of other things like that, things where she can use her creative side.
