I know Liz its crazy. Ben keeps saying each day is his birthday and he gets very cranky when I tell him his birthday isn't here yet laugh.gif

I'm making a Wiggles cake this year so that should be fun.

I can't believe they are almost 3, time is flying!!

James has requested a buzz lightyear cake, and tells everyone he is getting buzz for his bday. We will just have a quiet bday, just family, mind you that is a lot.
We have our mothers group bday next week, I'm hosting! should be fun.

Liz I wanna come play your donut game, sounds fun ( only I need gluten free donuts!)

Renee love her word for junk mail, James is into making up words at the moment too.

I know I can't believe they are almost 3!

We will just have a party at home as we are having a huge mothers group party next weekend - all of his friends (no other friends outside of MG have kids, except 2) so we'll just have family.

Snap!

Will started childcare this week on MOnday and loved it.

Sorry, Angus is screaming - will be back later.

Off the topic, but is anyone just starting toilet training. We've only just started Finlay. He is doing quite well at home and takes himself to the loo without me prompting (he likes to wear no pants at all blush.gif )

Yet to have a poo in the potty though.

So what do I do when we go out as yesterday he wore a nappy pants where they're "supposed" to feel wet before it soaks in but obviously he didn't care as it was wet when we got home.

Do I just go nappy free cold turkey and really hope for the best?...

What worked for you? Was there a magic trick? Friend of mine got her girl Dora undies and that was it as she couldn't let her beloved Dora undies get wet! Dont think that'll work for Finlay though.

Kaele has been TT trained since I was about 9 weeks UTD with Miller - and except for a night time nappy - we went pantless at home for ages, did a few pull ups, and then into undies.

When at home, she just didn't wear anythign on the bottom, and when out, we took her to the toilet alot - asked her alot to go to the toilet etc. I never brought kaele special undies (I dont buy commercial stuff for her to wear LOL) I really think the key was to just let her be naked as much as possible. It all just clicked fairly easily with Kaele-and constantly asking her if she wanted to go. We dont take her now, she goes by herself, I brought her the Kleenex wet wipes for the toilets, - and I am sure when she is ready she will be happy to ditch the night nappy.

I am really not that much help as Klay did most of the hard work for me...

Hello!!!!

I can not believe that all our bubs are turning 3 soon!!!! 3 weeks today until Tiana turns 3, what happened to my baby??? She has very specifically requested a princess party, has been talking about it for about 9 months now tongue.gif She picked out a princess cake from the WW kids birthday book - its an icecream cake with a barbie in the middle, I'm happy with that as there won't be much decorating, and no cake making involved!!

Liz, with Tiana, we wore pull ups for a while when we went out, but kept undies on at home, only had a few accidents in the undies, so went straight to undies full time (expect nighttime) but the experience with her was so different to Jaidyn. I've heard that boys are harder to TT, and in my experience that is so true. He would wee in his undies, and just not seem to care. Eventually he was wee TT by about 3, but then poo, errgh, different story, it was some time after 4, so really I'm not the best person to ask for advice, except, just give it time and try to not let it stress you out too much, they will in time get there, good luck xo

Off to tuck princess Tiana into bed (this is what I have been told by her that I must call her from now on, after Disney's princess Tiana in the princess and the frog!!)

Oh wow Liz! Congratulations. I am very happy for you. biggrin.gif What lovely news.

Re: the TT,

At this age I'd be inclined to go for the undies fulltime (even when out) and do lots of reminding. I found a nappy / nappy pants (even cloth nappie "undies") justmeant Will would think he could wee.

Wow Liz, fantastic news. It will be lovely (and busy) to have them so close.

Anna James is getting a buzz lightyear doll as he loves toy story, he asked for it about 3 months ago, just wish I had picked one up in the mid year toy sales, but hard to find at the moment. Another good toy that James loves is his duplo, worth it's weight in gold at my place, keeps him amused for hours.

Thanks everyone!

Finlay is getting a real bike with training wheels for his birthday. Its 26" so im worried it might be a bit small and should get a bigger one...

Stuff I have on layby for xmas is duplo, big tonka truck and a remote control car! He is going to LOVE the car as he has a remote control crane which he loves.

Its a very basic RC about $30 from Bigw
