I have to say that I actually love Israel Kamakawiwo Ole's version of this song.. They played this on ER (or was it Chicago's Hope?) when the dr with the glasses died of cancer I believe??

Reduces me to tears everytime I hear this song.

I love that version too wub.gif

Our Wedding songs make me cry when i hear them wub.gif

A moment like this - Kelly Clarkson
Heaven - D Sammy

Yep Heaven was ours and it gets me everytime...

Lately - Stevie Wonder
When She Loved Me - Sarah McLachlan (from Toy Story 2)

and after having my bubba - A Little Ray of Sunshine...

here are the lyrics...

Her father says she has to have a name
Not the same as her mom's, but a name just the same

A little ray of sunshine has come into the world,
A little ray of sunshine in the shape of a girl.

We'll show her the dress that she'll wear
With the gold flowing hair that nature provided
A little ray of sunshine has come into the world,
A little ray of sunshine in the shape of a girl.

A little ray of sunshine -
I want to know if you think she looks good in the pink,
That grandma has bought her ... our own little daughter.

She can make you feel good,
She can make you feel that it's all worthwhile,
Only by her smile, only by her smile ...

Have you noticed she's just like her father,
And i think that i'd rather
Her hair was much darker,
A little ray of sunshine has come into the world,
A little ray of sunshine in the shape of a girl.

She can make you feel good,
She can make you feel that it's all worthwhile,
Only by her smile, only by her smile, only by her smile ...
Talkin' 'bout my little ray of sunshine,
My little ray of sunshine,
Little ray of sunshine,

OMG yes mel for sure I agree with "When She Loved Me" - gets me every time! Also another yes for "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds.
This one gets me too - "If You're Not The One" by Daniel Bedingfield:

I remember when Candle in the Wind 1997 came out, it was absolutely impossible to buy a copy anywhere. It sold out within hours.

"Hello" by Lionel Ritchie as it reminds me of of the death of one of my friends mum when I was about 7. Even hearing the words of it in my head makes me remember the funeral parlour, the open casket etc sad.gif I'm not sure why but I've associated this song with this event.

"What's another year" by Johnny Logan. This song won the Eurovision song contest in 1980 and as we were watching it my best friend was killed a few metres from my house. The police had been chasing a stolen car and the driver jumped out and the car swerved into 3 or 4 people, killing her instantly. She was only 7 sad.gif

After all these years - Silverchair
^^ this song feels so personal to me, as though it is telling me that it's ok to be 'over' the bad times. Sometimes we feel that the troubles are part of our identity, it can be hard to let go of & realise that they are behind you.

In the arms of an Angel - Sarah McLachlan
^^ this song reminds me of someone I once loved who now has a heroin addiction. The arms of angels seems to be death, but i also think of it as the feeling they get from the high... nothing else matters.

I miss you - Miley Cyrus. My 6 yr old is a massive massive fan, and she sings this song to my Nan (who died in November). Gets me everytime.

1,000 miles - By Vanessa Carlton. Was sung at DD's dancing concert 2 days after Nan died. I lost it in the middle of the song and had to run out.

Wish you well - Bernard Fanning. It was Nan's mobile phone ringtone (I'm having a hard time coping with her death, everything about her sets me off at the moment)

I'll be seeing you - from the notebook soundtrack.

There are so many songs that make me cry

Bruce Springstein - The River
Elton John - Can you feel the love tonight?

I'll have to give this some more thought and come back.
