Renee is nine and is in that in between stage, not a child(so she thinks) and not yet a teenager.... and i dont really know what to get her for christmas.
This is her first year where she is saying she is too old for bratz ( even though I have never really liked them so I am glad of this).
She is into high school musical so she will be getting some HSM stuff for christmas, She sometimes likes hannah montana, dont know if i really want to spend money on hannah montana stuff for her not to like it the next month......
She will probably get some DS games but other than that I seriously do not have a clue with what to get her.
Renee is no help either all she wants is a mobile phone and there is no way she will be getting one of those.

So what will your child be getting for christmas?? I need some ideas!!!!!!

9 is such a hard age - my step daughter is 9 as well and we dont really have a clue. She loves arty/crafty type stuff so we're thinking about getting her a beading kit and we'll get her some books but have no idea what else...feel so bad getting her cloths as a present, but she does love them.

All the kids are getting a boogie board from Santa,

11 yo daughter is getting a new 'grown-up' doona cover, a matching necklace and ear rings, a game for her DS wihich she's getting in a couple of weeks for her birthday.

10 yo son is getting a game for his DS and ..........**more thinking required here**

8 yo & 6 yo son.....**even more thinking required**

We usually try and give them similar things, but its getting harder to do that when they're getting older. I hate buying things, just for the sake of it.

I think the boys will all end up getting a new doona cover set for their beds too and one toy that they'd like.

Jordan is 9 and I've been struggling with thoughts on what to get him.

We have a no gaming console policy and a no licensed toys rule in this house (long story short - Jordan's autism and character play were getting out of control which is why the toys rule was put in place, its made the world of difference!)

I'm thinking of getting him a small pool and a trampoline.

dee - Have you thought of an I-Pod or something similar? Does she like music?

For Nate this year I have bought a few things already for his b'day/chrismas (they're a month apart)

I got two PS2 Buzz Games. Cricket Board Games, Racing Car Track, 2 x Pair of Footy Shorts and some WWE toys.

My girls are getting a TV/DVD to share.

They will also get some books. Not sure what else to get them. Oh yes they will also be getting some clothes.

I am trying to cut back on what we spend as it is costing us so much for 6 kids now.

I know that my boys will be getting a new bike each.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Mrs Sassy- Yes Renee has got an i pod. She saved up all her birthday money and pocket money and brought one herself, which was a bugger as I did plan on getting her one for christmas, that is why I am so stuck for ideas!!!

Have decided on getting her a doona cover, one that she likes, it is a bit teenagerish but it pink and black so it should match her room okay, not exactly to my taste but it is her room....
Am thinking about a digital camera, not to sure about this idea yet......
She wants one of those brother labeler things, i may get some use out of that one too!!!
And then some wii and ds games,
Thats all i have come up with so far.........
