Harry Connick Jr with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Opera House.

I was sooooo pumped to see this concert, and it really was not cheap for the both of us to go. And just having seen Kiss with the MSO I thought it was jsut going to be brilliant.

Nope, most of the time the orchestra sat there with thier instruments in their laps, looking bored out of their minds, while Harry and his 5 or 6 ring ins he brought with him played self indulgent solos all night. Harry hardly even sang. Then he got up and blabbed on some story about some Famous Sydney restaurant didnt give him free food cos they didnt realise he was a big star. I mean seriously.

I will never go see him again, and I have stopped buying his records too.

Serves me right for going in the first place... But Ja Rule SUCKED DOGS BALLS!

You know the performances where they sing a bit, then point the mic to the audience and get them to sing a line... well he just KEPT doing it! wacko.gif

And then right at the end, he went on about Eminem being a hater! laugh.gif Now being in Australia, we don't get a lot of rap performances out here, so any that do, fans will tend to go, but I think 90% of the people there were bigger fans of Eminem than Ja Rule, so it kinda went silent.

So he threw the mic on the stage and stormed off, and that was it! huh.gif

Ashanti performed at the same concert, and she was fabulous wub.gif

I saw LIVE when they were supported by Sugar Ray. I thought Sugar Ray was the better performance of the night.

The worst warm-up bands I've ever seen were 28 Days (before an Offspring concert)
Ooh, yes. I saw them as the warm up band for.. I think it was Frenzal Rhomb? (This is going back a bit now!) I got there late and all I can say is THANK GOD I MISSED HALF THEIR SET! laugh.gif Come to think of it, Frenzal Rhomb were awful as well, I think I actually left early. I liked their music at the time but you couldn't pay me to listen to it now! laugh.gif

And Spiderbait at a BDO. I used to love them but Janets singing was disgraceful, it sounded like a cat yowling.

In defense of Silverchair, I saw them at one of their first concerts and they were fantastic, this was before DJ went all strange though...
I've seen Spiderbait once and I LOVED them! Although, I was right near a speaker and the noise from it made it a bit hard to hear the singing.. maybe that was a good thing! laugh.gif

And I've seen Silverchair I think 4 times now and always liked them.

Christina Aguilera - Oh my did she suck! She was so fake it made me want to vomit! The way she walked around the stage talking all 'breathy' was pathetic and she was trying WAY too hard to be sexy.

Silverchair - hopeless. They sounded terrible, ignored the audience, didn't sing any of the songs that made people love them in the first place, swore too much, the list goes on.

The Dandy Warhols- they were WAY too stoned... dry.gif

I second that. We saw them at the Enmore in Sydney a few years back and that Courtney Taylor Taylor was just a bit too cool for school if you ask me dry.gif
