On the other side of the 'best concerts' thread, I'm interested in finding out who you didn't enjoy, or found to be a big disappointment.

For me, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the U2 concert. Hated the venue (QEII in Brisbane), and while it was all pitch perfect, I just found it all very uninspiring.

Silverchair didn't do a great lot for me live either; I've heard that they can be a bit hit and miss.

The worst warm-up bands I've ever seen were 28 Days (before an Offspring concert), and Kanye West (before U2).

I went to see Matchbox 20 back in 2000 at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre and it just left me cold. It sounded just like the CD, no added effects because it was live, no insight into the songs (in fact little to no discussion between songs at all) and they didn;t play my favourite song at the time sad.gif

I saw Korn in Melbourne a few years ago and they were TERRIBLE.
Everyone else I have seen has been pretty great though.

I'll be speaking for my brother and say the recent Jodeci concert in Sydney was the absolute worst. I think when a singer passes out on stage that's pretty bad.

I don't go to a lot of concerts but the worst I've seen was Rhianna as a support act for Jay-Z. She was lame and lifeless. She has very nice legs though rolleyes.gif.

I immediately thought of the U2 concert as well although I saw it in the Olympic Stadium where the venue was so big the sound was distorted and you couldn't understand a word Bono was saying. Kanye was supporting then too and he was just awful.

Ben Harper. I think his support act, Jack Johnson (or Mogadon with a guitar as he is known to me) was partly to blame though.

I'll second Matchbox 20!

Ditto, but in Sydney.

Also Deftones (a few years ago) left me unimpressed.

Silverchair were awful. He has no stage presence and just repeats himself time and time again. Most recent BDO performance was the worst, he couldn't hit high notes at all in songs like Straight Lines.

Bob Dylan was disappointing too, it was awesome to be sitting in front of a music legend but his voice is completely shot to pieces from all the cigarettes and alcohol, some songs were unrecognisable!

And White Stripes, I thought they'd be brilliant but they were on a tiny stage and looked like they just didn't want to be there

Although I wasn't there, I did watch Kim Wilde on The Footy Show last week when she sang Kids in America, a song that I love, but it was HORRIBLE wacko.gif

I felt this way about the Dixie Chicks. I was so pumped up for their concert and then they just looked like they didn't want to be there - no interaction with the audience at all.

I saw Damien Rice play the Gaelic Club n Sdney a few years back and it was the most bitterly disappointing gig i have ever seen.

It had nothing to do with Damien though - it was entirely the crowd's fault. I think every Irish backpacker in Surry Hills had decided to go and they treated it like a gigantic p*ss up. Everyone was talking so loudly you couldn't hear him sing. He got more and more frustrated and by the end of it he vowed to never play an Irish venue again!!

I was so angry at a stupid woman talking ridiculously loudly the whole way through 'Amie' that i '*accidentally* spilt my drink on her!!

We went to see Hilltop Hoods a few years back, flew all the way to tassie just for them, and was terribly disappointed. All they did was play their cd...even the tracks were in order ohmy.gif
