We stayed at the Siam@Siam in Bangkok and loved it. Can't recommend it enough!

Yep - i stayed there on my last trip too - was a travel agent at the time so did plenty of research and got a fantastic rate!

DF has not been to Thailand though - but I think he'll love siam@siam... And i LOVE MBK!!!! smile.gif smile.gif

I'll have to let everyone know how we go at the Marina in Phuket - it looks fantastic and loads of great reviews and pictures on trip advisor so I am sure it will be lovely.... Can't wait!!!!!

We are going to Tasmania for our honeymoon and I can't wait! We've actually been there already on 3 previous holidays but we just can't seem to get enough. At first we were thinking of Borneo or Japan for the honeymoon and for some reason we felt stressed about it... so I suggested 'why don't we just go back to Tasmania?' and as soon as i said it, we both felt so relaxed that we knew it was the right decision.

The FH and I are both not beach people, we prefer the mountainscape. We are going to our favourite places in Tassie, but this time with a real honeymoon touch - honeymoon suites, fine dining, luxurious touches. I always thought I'd be going to a warmer climate for my honeymoon but I'm now looking forward to cosying up in front of a romantic fire. We will be spending three nights at Freycinet (somewhere with a good view of the Hazards), one night in Hobart city, three nights in Huonville (where we hope to live one day) and three nights at Mount Roland, near Cradle Mountain. I'm anticipating spending $3,000 just on the accomodation alone.

So excited!

Emmyzilla if you are looking for accommodation at Freycinet I can't recommend Edge of the Bay enough! FH and I stayed there for 1 night and it is amazing - we were tempted to go there for our honeymoon but we decided to make our first trip overseas together the honeymoon instead. They have rooms right on the beach and the rooms are totally secluded so you basically get your own little stretch of beach, we went rock hopping for the afternoon and didn't see one other person. Also, it is directly opposite the Hazards - the view of the Hazards was incredible from our little beach outside our door. I wish I could find the pics of the Hazards I took from the beach for you.....just for the view alone it was worth it - the rooms were lovely and definitely fine dining too - their restaurant is right on the waters edge and the view and the food was to die for.
