The latest I have bought is the MGMT album. If you haven't heard of the band, they have a kind of electro/pop sound, similar to the Scissor Sisters. It is SUCH a great album. One of their songs is featured on the Bonds Tee ad that is playing at the moment.

So what album have you bought lately?
Or what are you listening to ATM?

My happy little boy!

I don't really buy albums anymore, I tend to just download singles I like.
The last few have been:

MGMT - Electric Feel
Kid Rock - All Summer Long
Van She - Changes
The Foxboro Hot Tubs - Mother Mary
Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
Pink - So What
Sam Sparro - Black & Gold

The last album I bought was the latest Coldplay and Offspring, and before that would have been Powderfinger's latest. I only get a couple of full albums a year now, I just don't really listen to them since I got my I-Pod.

We have similar taste, those (aside from sam sparro, kid rock and van she) are my recent downloads as well. Along with some Ben Lee and Faker.

I rarely buy full albums, usually just itune some songs as above.

I've just downloaded a couple of albums

M83 - Saturday=Youth
Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
Michael Franti & Spearhead - All Rebel Rockers

And I have downloaded some random tracks as well but I am having a mental blank. Will come back when I get home and post.

Oh and I just bought the new Grates album too "Teeth Lost, Hearts Won" - it felt kinda odd to buy a CD again. I usually only download now.

Bought the Saboteurs album the other day and giving it a good listen to now. Not bad!

I bought it because it was on sale for $15 - but they had the exact same album under their other name - the Raconteurs for the full $30, because it was an import! biggrin.gif

I almost wanted to buy both! ph34r.gif

Due to my finishing work last week - I took my last opportunity to use staff discount and spent a little too much on CD's and DVD's ph34r.gif

(but if I bought some movies etc for when we have kids, that makes it OK, doesn't it?) blush.gif

Among my CD selections were:

* Presets - Apocalypto - I know its playing everywhere, but it gets stuck in your head!
* Sasha - Invol2ver (meant to translate to Involver 2)
* Cafe Del Mar - Best Of
* Maximo Park - A certain trigger

...and because I am secretly an 80's fan ph34r.gif

* The best of Depeche Mode and
* Blondie - Eat to the Beat

..after working in a music shop, you get a pretty wide variety of musical tastes! happy.gif
