We did something nearly every day - I think we are both the kind of people who feel like a day is wasted if we don't actually DO something. We did spend a couple days just lounging around but mostly we went on hikes, cruises, horse rides, day trips, shopping, swimming etc etc.

Weirdly enough, to us it was still extremely relaxing. It's MENTAL stress that makes me feel tired, not physical.

ummm threw up!!!! I got chicken food poisioning on the first night, it wasn't till the last night that I finally felt better and up to doing anything more than lying down and sleeping!!!!
Although we had no grand plans anyway. We went to an island in Fiji and we were planning on snorkeling etc, so hubby did that while I slept.

We went to NZ and Rarotonga. NZ was mostly spent catching up with my family, and sight seeing during the day. On Raro we did a lot of snorkeling, swimming, walking on the beach, reading, and one morning we went into town to the market but didn't stay long.

We went to Thailand. We did the usual touristy things and spent the rest of the time hanging out by the pool at the resort! Most nights we just ate at the resort and chilled in our room of an evening. We had a DVD player in our room so we watched tonnes of cheap DVD's we bought on a shopping trip.

We went to Melbourne for our honeymoon - we had an incredibly busy week, and needed a few days at home to relax afterwards!

Some of our activities included:

* great ocean road drive - slightly further than the twelve apostles and back in the same day!
* a night in the Dandenongs
* lots and lots of shopping
* a couple of days of visiting relatives
* a number of shows in the Comedy Festival
* eating out for nearly every meal

We're going to 'adventure'places, so lot's of seeing the sights, getting into the local culture, and a little shopping tongue.gif . Our honeymoon will be in Jordan, Syria, Dubai and Bangkok - very busy, but we've also included some time to relax and have booked into the occasional luxury hotel.

we went to vanuatu. i intentionally booked a place that had no TV... a beautiful beach fare... at the airport he ducked off & bought a portable DVD player & a few DVD's biggrin.gif
We balanced our time there by flaking out & also getting out & going on adventure tours, dune buggy drives, escapades to deserted islands, snorkelling & more flaking out... & eating!! Mmmmm...
I did thank my hubby for getting the portable DVD for the nights when we wanted to snuggle & Vanuatu had a HUGE selection of cheap cheap DVD's!
I think so long as you are both together just happy to be together then you will both have a fab honeymoon.
To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour.

We went to Hawaii, LA, Vegas and New York. We were busy busy the whole trip sightseeing and flying from one place to another. We were gone for 3 weeks. We lazed around a bit in Hawaii (We were there for the first 5 days) we made that our first stop coz I knew we would be tired and getting over the excitement of the wedding day and couldnt be bothered doing anything.

We went to Fiji for 10 nights. We lazed by the pool, went horse riding, had a couple of day trips into Nadi, went kayaking, went on a sunset cruise and drank cocktails! It was a lovely mix between relaxation and sightseeing.

We went to the USA on our honeymoon so there was lots of sightseeing in each of the cities we visited. Our 1st anniversary was spent in Noumea where we did nothing at all for 4 days, we literally laid by the pool and ordered food and drink and swam, it was perfect!

We will be hiring a luxury houseboat for 10 days and cruising along the Murray. First 3 days will be H2B and me all by ourselves, then we will pull back into town (we live 700m from the port) and picking up our DD (and the baby if we are lucky enough to have one by then) and spending the next week doing it all over again.

We went to Southern Africa for our honeymoon. We spent a week in South Africa just sightseeing, then we did a safari through Namibia, Botswana and finished in Victoria falls, Zambia. Then a couple of nights on a tropical island. All up, it lasted 3 weeks, it was the best holiday I ever had.
