Hi Miranda!!! I would love to see some pics as well. We are having a beach wedding in Oct 08, planning on something very simple. I am going to make some bali flags to stick in the sand to make an 'aisle', but had not thought of anything else at this stage!!!

very nice Mel!! hopefully we can both get some good ideas!

I have also seen where to map out an aisle you put candles or something all the way down a path of sand that has been smoothed out to look nice and flat!

Do you have any ideas for your bridesmaids, I was just looking at some dresses but have decided most are way too frmal for a beach wedding!

We are only having our 2 daughters (aged 12 and 8) as our little attendants and they are wearing gorgeous little knee length numbers in a gorgeous teal blue kind of colour! Think 60's rock and roll length, with a little bit of tule underneath to give it a little lift! They think they are snazzy! They each have (or will have) silver sandle/kitten heels for before and after the actual ceremony on the beach.

The 8 yr old is carrying the rings in a wrist bag and my 12 yr old may be wearing a wrist corsage! Not sure about that yet!!

If you have found a smile that is the sweetest one you've known,
If you have heard within a voice, the echoes of your own,
If you have felt a touch that stirs the longings of your heart,
And still feel the closeness in the moments you're apart.

If you have filled with wonder at the way two lives can blend,
To weave a perfect pattern that is seamless end to end,
If you believe some things in life are simply meant to be,
Then you have found your soul mate, your hearts own destiny.

Hi Miranda

How are your plans coming along? I am still trying to decide what to do re; the aisle etc!! I have some pics (can't upload from work though sad.gif ) but I am still really unsure!

I would love to make a platform of some sort but I doubt that will happen laugh.gif
There is also a pier right where we are getting married - what do you think if we have the actual ceremony on that (would potentially block public from getting out further, hehehe) and then going onto the beach for pics?? Oh I have no idea and I only have 4 months to decide ARRGGHHHH laugh.gif

Hi Mel

Sorry Just seen this as I have a new job and cant get on the net much.. we have decided to use as our markers, so to speak, where we stand with the celebrant 2 paddles from skis as my H2B is in the surf club and will sit the mood to a tee and still liking the idea of having candles or something similar to run down the aisle to mark it out

i will have to check out this website when i have more time

not long to go now mel!!!

Hi Girls
Im also having a beach wedding. We are getting married on 31 January 2009. We are having our ceremony/reception at the Narrabeen Surf Club. The ceremony will be on the grass area facing the beach. I am looking to hire some Bali flags or any ideas on how to make them? Also wanting to hire a white carpet isle or a straw sandy coloured isle runner, i've seen them around on the net but cant seem to get a cheap enough price. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Kylie.

Hi Ladies

We were married NEXT to the beach so I thought I'd add a pic here of what our ceremony looked like. We had six bali flags and two teepees with hibiscus flowers.

That is such a cool idea biggrin.gif not sure if the candles would work as its usually quite windy on the beach.

The sign is from Splosh. If you check out their website they can tell you where your closest supplier is: biggrin.gif http://www.splosh.com.au/home.html
