My dad died when I was 8, so that wasn't an option.

I had my mum and my step-dad. Was going to just be mum originially, but my step-dad has been so good to us, and is such a big part of my life I wanted him to be there too. He was so excited. And he doesn't have any children of his own - we are his children in his eyes smile.gif

Mum and Dad walked me down the 'aisle'
My brother walked my sister (MOH) down the 'aisle'
I wanted him to be involved somehow and they looked gorgeous

My mum is walking me down the aisle ,I wouldn't have it any other way biggrin.gif

My dad died last year, but hadn't been close for years, so it would have been mum either way!

My dad will be walking me down the aisle. I actually would have been happy to walk down by myself but I know how much it'll mean to my dad to do it. I'm his only daughter and I know how special a moment it will be for him, plus, it might be handy for me to have someone to lean on in a big dress and heels! tongue.gif

I dont have a relationship with my father, so I had planned on walking down alone, but my step-dad really wanted to do it, so he is now walking me down. Mum is coming in the car with us, and when we get to the ceremony I am going to ask her to walk with us (she doesnt know this yet!).

I'll be walking down by myself. I do have a relationship with my Dad, but we're not really close. But, I'm 35 years old - I don't need one man to give me to another!

First trip down the aisle, my dad walked me down.

If there's a next time, I will probably walk alone. A- it wouldn't feel quite right to be walked down again, and B- dad might make some smart alec remark that I can't be given back again laugh.gif

My grandfather and my step dad will walk me down the aisle.. my father passed away last year but he wasnt a huge part of my life, so probably still would have been my grandfather and step dad. My grandfather practically raised me when i was little and i see him as a father figure, so i feel he deserves the honour of walking me down, and i wouldn't feel right if i didnt ask my stepdad, cos he's been in my life since i was 5.....

Thanks for all your replies smile.gif

I think having my Mum give me away would be nice because she has raised me pretty much on her own. I also like the idea of walking on my own or meeting my FH half way down the aisle but I think I'd like someone to hold on to laugh.gif

Thanks again girls biggrin.gif
