MY DH has been to Morrocco - he adored it. We are planning to head back when R is a little older. Someone mentioned Tunisia. The ruins are fantastic, I do give them that. However, it is full of German package tours, the rudist receptionists ever, terrible food (tuna - the biggist tins of tuna I have ever seen.) While it is interesting you would only want to spend a week or so there. You could pretty much cover it all.

What about the Galapagos Islands? Or somewhere Carribean? My parents did an amazing trip in Costa Rica once, where they were taken on an intrepid trip into the depths of the rainforest.
