i feel like i'm selling this website as i just wrote the same thing on another forum.

the uk is apparently kinder to us top heavy girls.

www.bravissimo.com are uk based. they have the same stuff as bellaforma and biggirls (who probably get a lot of stuff from the uk anyway) but they are cheaper (even when you add postage). i bought my bridal lingerie for there in a 10J for about half the price of what the aussie websites charge (bra and panties for under $100, and actually pretty). plus they have several real life stores in the uk so they are legit.

you can exchange but have to pay one-way postage. i recommend buying a normal bra (i.e. cheaper) that you would wear anyway in the same brand as the strapless bra or bustier you have in mind, and if it fits, then fork out for the big purchase.

avoid another uk site called curves and lace. they ripped me off bad.

Another one who'll put their hand up for Lisa's L@cies - I spent an absolute fortune on lingerie in there for the wedding day & honeymoon.

Another place worth a look is lauren silva dot com. American, and stock everything you could ever dream of, in every price range. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend as I've had great buys with them. And cheap postage too, last bra (deep plunge halter) was only $6.99, and took 7 days. I wish someone could honestly justify why everything overseas is barely half price of what we pay here in Oz, especially clothing! unsure.gif

not sure if you have tried these guys

http://www.bravaling...ome.asp?dsb=186

I'm a 16 GG and know the feeling - the other option it to have a under corset to be made for you - it will also give you gorgeous waist.

www.galleryserpentine.com

they are great corset makers

if you have family or friends in the UK, Marks and Spencers do great range of Bras up to a J cup, but dont ship to Australia, they are also reasonably prices

I hope this helps smile.gif

I am a 16J, and I have found a strapless that works (its actually a 18G in size). I got it from here. Its the Le Mystere Dream Shameless Strapless.
Yup, I love BellaForma wub.gif They have Goddess stuff too. My friend wore a Goddess torsolette to her wedding and she was a G cup, i think. Zodee.com.au is another good site.

At least you can slop around home in a tshirt, you don't *have* to put a bra on. ANd you can buy cute, cheap patterned and Bonds bras! Aww it's cute that ur mum buys stuff for you, i bet she loves it!!!! biggrin.gif

Yep, that's how it goes with most ppl... and they stay after the baby is born too, generally. Which means after you're done breastfeeding and are in the swing of things and feeling a bit more yourself, you get to go LINGERIE SHOPPING wink.gif

Hey Kylie, I wore a strapless for my wedding and I was FF back then. I wore a goddess bra and I used to swear that they were the best, but I found they geve my boobs a pointy look which I didn't like. I have recently found this bra

http://cgi.ebay.com....i...52BSI&otn=4

And I bought two as I wasn't sure what size I was anymore since having Charli, I recieved the bra and it's FANTASTIC! Cannot reccomend it enough, also at that price, it's freaking unreal!

ETA - I ordered mine is 20H & 20G, and it holds mine up perfectly!

I'm going to reply in here rather then start a new topic, I'm a 12F and need to find something strapless and really supportive for under my wedding dress.

Is this the 'goddess' one that everyone's talking about? http://shop.biggirls...p?idProduct=109 - Can anyone tell me if it's really supportive, and what about the shape it gives, kind of looks a bit pointy - Is that noticeable under a dress?

I went into the one lingerie shop we have down here and was basically told "You don't want a corset, because the boning will show under your dress, and they won't give any support anyway. You'll have to wear a strapless bra and this is basically all we have in your size" then the sales assistant brought out this daggy, skin coloured boring bra which looked like it wouldn't hold up a tennis ball let alone my giant boobs. laugh.gif So, I think I might have to buy online. I'm just worried about being uncomfortable all day or being too frightened to dance or bend over in case I flash all my guests (now that would make an interesting photo in the album I'm sure).

It's hard enough to buy regular bra's that fit, let alone 'special purpose' lingerie...I like my curves, except when I have to go shopping for anything to wear on my top half, underwear or outerwear, it's always a battle dry.gif

Goddess is a brand (like Triumph) and yes - that looks like one of the Goddess styles. I did not find it made me pointy, you could not see it beneath my dress, and I could have done cartwheels and my (.)(.) weren't going to move. I was very pleased.

My torsolette came down lower than that one, but the general look is similar to the one you posted. I notice you are in Tas, however if you do happen to come to Melbourne, I can recommend a place which can fit you for the Goddess range.
