We have wanted to go to Angkor Wat for ages, but also wanted to relax (a little bit) on our honeymoon so:

We are going to Kuala Lumpur for 2 nights staying here, 3 nights at angkor wat, Cambodia staying here, one night in Bangkok staying here and 6 nights in Khao Lanta, Thailand staying here in a pool villa. So excited! Due to my obsessive bargain hunting nature, this 12 night trip staying at all 5* hotels, visiting 3 countries will cost under 7K laugh.gif . We are also staying in Noosa during the wedding week at a cost of 3K.

Now I have read through it again it really doesn't sound that relaxing laugh.gif .

ours was very very modest! we were renovating our house at the time so that was our priority. Jovica managed to get us pretty cheap accomodation through his work at Noosa for $500 for 7 days. it was a self contained apartment so to save a bit more money we (read: I) cooked the whole time we were there)

Flights were cheap too, i think i was lucky and got them on sale.

We didnt spend much really, cause there was nothing to do in noosa, but we did do a side trip for the day to Australia Zoo. Besides hanging out with my new hubby, that was the highlight of the holiday.

All up i think it was maybe $1500.

Jovica regrets our honeymoon everyday and has vowed never to stay in self contained accomodation again laugh.gif We had fun at the time, hey, i wasnt wedding planning so it was heavan for me!

laugh.gif laugh.gif You're right that doesn't sound relaxing at all!! But it will be wonderful! We have been to most of the places you are visiting (all except Kuala Lumpur and Noosa! tongue.gif ) Angkor Wat is spectacular, you won't be disappointed!

We just went on a P & O south pacific crusie for seven nights. I had limited time off work. And the timing was perfect, the ship left the day after the wedding. We had a fantatsic time though. Privacy was a bit of an issue, but we had a blast, it was a very "easy" holiday, our biggest worry was getting to bingo on time.

The staff were so great and we got quite a few "honeymoon" perks, including a free cabin upgrade to the top deck.

We both put on so much weight though. All we did was eat, drink creamy cocktails and gamble!

All up, including spending money it was probably only $5500.

Then on our way home, we spent 3 nights in Singapore.

All up it was around $15k and I dont regret one minute of it, it was a dream honeymoon.

We went to Brampton Island for 5 nights & Brisbane for 2 nights. It probably cost us around $5000 incl. shopping & everything.

We thought about going overseas but we didn't want the hassle & we really only had a week to take so we went with this & it was perfect!

We are going to Coffs and got some cheaper accommodation for a week.

All up inc spending money should only be a 1 - 1.5K

When we finish renos on our house and sell, we are going to to the big trip to england, france and germany.

But in saying that the honeymoon isn't about how much you spend.... it is the time you spend with your new hubby biggrin.gif

We could stay home for all I care... as long as I am with him wub.gif

Less than $1000. We went camping for a week. Most of what we spent was on food and extra equipment and petrol!

Ours will probably come to about $12K plus spending money. We are leaving the Monday after our Saturday wedding for the USA - three weeks all up visiting Las Vegas, New York & San Francisco with the bulk of our time in NYC which is our fav US city. We have done all the sightseeing there so it won't be a totally flat-out time, we anticipate spending much of it just mooching around and seeing more of the 'real' city.

We originally planned to honeymoon in Hong Kong but as our wedding is in May and we wanted to honeymoon immediately following the wedding, it was going to be too hot. As it turned out, we could afford the USA so jumped at the chance to go there as it will be our last o/s trip for a while..!

We are going to NZ and the Cook Islands for our honeymoon. We were thinking of going to Scotland and Ireland (and visit H2B's relatives) but then we bought a house so we changed our plans. I figure we can do that kind of trip in a few years when we have some kids to show off biggrin.gif

All flights and 7 nights on the Cooks in our own little beach hut is costing us about $600. We'll get Auckland accomadation on Wotif a few weeks out. We are getting married in a cold Canberra winter so something warm was on the cards!

Am I reading this right or is there a missing zero. Because if all you're paying is $600 please let me know where you've booked as I'm definitely going! Seriously.

Ours was $5K including flights from Sydney to Perth (to get married) and then Perth to Cairns, Cairns to Dunk Island and then Cairns to Sydney to return home.

Dunk Island was AMAZING and we had a beach suite with meals included and a spa treatment each day. We loved it....

We are having a small honeymoon, we buildng a house so money is needed for that, but we still wanted to go away. I found a great package for 5 nights at the whitsundays, with all our meals, massage, scenic flight, portrait photo and other small perks. Including our flights, its a bit under $3000.
