What is the pet obsession with seeing their owners naked?

The toilet stalking & bathroom perving is all sounding familiar. Our 2 cats also have developed the lovely (disturbing..) habit of always coming in & trying to watch if hubby & I have some "our time" (sorry if TMI) in the bedroom. We cop that head half cocked to the side "you two are up to something" look.

Dearest Indiana

I love having you stay with me every so often, however, the slight breeze of a night time is NOT scary. And it does not require you to bark so loudly as to wake up the entire neighborhood, and most importantly me.

Thanks

Love your incredibly tired Mum

Dh sent me this email alittle while ago but Ive always kept it cause it describes my boys to a T!!

A Letter to my Cats

Dear Cats,

When I say to move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way.
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest .
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object . Tripping me doesn't help, because I can fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of other cats sleeping, they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm .
My compact discs are not miniature Frisbees .
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. In addition, I have been using bathrooms for years -- feline attendance is not mandatory or helpful.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other cats' back end . I cannot stress this enough .
To pacify you I have posted the following message on our front door...

OMG my boys too!!! Take about performance anxiety!!!! Its hard when you have 2 sets of yellow eyes starting at you intently. Its even harder when they want to pounce on the donna!!!! laugh.gif

Just another quick note to my boys..

Kids yes I know the sun its up BUT it is only 5 am and YES I do own an alarm clock , I do NOT need face licks every morning esp on the eyes, just incase in the unlikely event I forget I get up the feed you two breakky. Also its great you like to snuggle up BUt waking up to a tail in my mouth is not good form , a tail in my mouth means and other bit the tail is attached to is also every close to my face(thank the lord its a long tail laugh.gif ) and yes I know you like licking it but mum does NOT have the same fasination!!!! mad.gif
Oh just so you both know mommy loves you very much! biggrin.gif

Never giving up hope.

Dearest Loki,

I am glad you love us to bits and you were good for your cat sitters while we were away. However, you must realise that when we are lying on the couch our toes and feet and ankles are not play toys.

Much Love
Mum

biggrin.gif All these bathroom, toilet and 'private time' stories make me so glad that Sophie is only allowed in half the house - She can't get to the bathroom or bedroom - She just stands at the doorway to the hall and peeks out...

hehe, my furbaby also can not leave me alone for a single second, so likes to come in and eat her dinner whilst I am using the bathroom

Dearest Anna

Mummy loves you so very much. And Mummy knows that you love her. There is no need for you to bite Mummys foot to let me know that you are there. Trust me, I know.

Daddy thinks that you are my "boss" and likes to tease mummy about this all the time. So, lets make a deal that next time I ask you to stop doing something naughty, that you listen and actually stop it. Than maybe daddy wont tease mummy so much. I can sneak you a few cravers when daddy isnt around if you manage this one.

Also, and I am sorry to be the one to tell you this. We only have one cat. The "hallway" cat is just your reflection in the mirror. I promise. Now I know it has taken you some time to learn to live with this cat, but its just you honey. His not playing with you on a scratchy pole that is exactly the same as yours.

You know daddy is a germ-a-phobe, so please try and keep your litter in your box. There is no need to dig to china and take 10 mins to a wee. You make a mess and to be honest, its kinda weird.

Finally, please, please stop attacking children. There are perfectly normal and there is no need for you to be so damn right mean. Its terribly embarrasing that I have to put you in another room when other people visit.

Love you forever
Your mummy

PS - sorry for laughing at your summer haircut, we just cant help it

Dear Rusty,

Mummy and Daddy both love you dearly but there are a couple of little issues we need to get sorted.

You are such a good boy to go to the toilet every morning and afternoon in your gravel spot, so why oh why must you insist on leaving a large steamer on the freshly mowed back lawn every week just after daddy has mowed it? Daddy doesn't like it and mummy likes it even less because daddy tells mummy to go and pick it up while he finishes the front lawn - and as wonderful as you know you are - even you don't smell like roses.

And we know that you have had your bed for a little while and the new shaggy floor rug looks much more inviting but you know it's not yours. So when you are being a ratbag and sitting on it and mummy asks you to get off it she doesn't mean lay down next too it and rest your head on it whilist snoring.

Lots of Love,
Mummy.

Oh I agree with pets fascination with their owners naked.

When I was at home, our dog always wanted to sit on the bathmat outside the shower.

Dear Connor,

I'm really sorry that we have to leave you at home alone during the day but we have to go to work. We dont like it when we come home and you have dug a huge big hole in the back yard after we just fixed it up a couple of months ago. I'm not sure why you seem to like digging holes in the one spot but it would be appreciated if you can not dig any more holes.

I also would like it if you didn’t look at me with those beautiful puppy dog eyes when you are getting in trouble for digging the holes. It makes me feel like a big meanie.

Love always,
Keeley

Dearest Loki,

I understand that whilst in your kitten stage of life you are very playful. However it is not a nice thing to scratch or attempt to scratch my face. Now my nostril is very sore from where you scratched it and it has stopped bleeding now!!

Lots of Love
Mum
