Chloe I spoke to a lovely lady at RSPCA but he hasn't been handed in there. She did get your flyers under the door though this morning & is alerting her staff for you.

She also gave me the vet's number in Mt Waverley (can't think what it's called but they are 24hrs & get dogs from all over the place coming in to them) & they hadn't gotten anyone like him overnight either.

Please let me know if there's any calls I can make or anything else I can do to help get Bailey back home.

Mrs Scootar you are so lovely! I just spoke with that lady at the RSPCA as well. She confirmed she got our flyer and will keep a lookout. I left a flyer at the AEC (the Mt Waverly 24 hr vet) late last night. I might drop something off at the Doncaster vet just in case someone comes in this morning.

AEC - that's them. I knew it was more of a long shot but they do get heaps of dogs from all over the place so I figured it couldn't hurt to try them, they also take in many dogs through the RSPCA.

At least they are all aware of him being missing now.

Just another thought - if you go out wandering the streets looking for him, take the other dogs too. Dogs have much more heightened senses than humans & they could well pick up on little things you might not such as a scent or even a distant bark (not hearable to a human ear). It may also trigger memories for people as your other dogs show similar resemblence to Bailey.

Oh no, I was hoping there'd be news by now sad.gif

No sign of him on our travels. Hubby even got out and went into the big parks and called out. Saffire I am so sorry - I know how heartbreaking it is when one of your furkids goes wandering sad.gif

Oh Chloe I have just seen this. I am so sorry, I have contacted someone to ask her for some information. I will get back to you as soon as I can. I am sure he is with someone just waiting to take him to the vet or the RSPCA.

Have you called the lost dogs home?

Oh Chloe ohmy.gif This is terrible.

Nicole (she's such a sweetie!) seems to have covered so many bases so I can't think of many more, but one that could also be worth thinking of is that today is often the last day to submit things in papers.
Often in the classifieds they have sections on lost dogs - you could always add Bailey in there too.

Gosh I hope that there is some good news soon. sad.gif

Chloe, here's some info from a lady who does rescue with me. Call EVERY local vet in your area. Also check the Brimbank Council website and call them and ask them to be on the look out for your dog. She is on the phone and is ringing pounds for you. I have sent her a pic of Bailey.

Yes. I called all the places last night and left messages. We just went to officeworks to get more printer ink. I'm printing more flyers now and I've also printed a map that we're goign to systematically highlight as we drop flyers off. I've added a date and time he was last seen/went missing to the flyer and the words 'generous reward'.

I was really hoping someone would have called him in first thing this morning. Now that I haven't heard anything and places have started to open, I realise just how much I had hoped he would be found this morning.

He's so fast, and has so much energy for a smallish dog, he could be anywhere by now. Please someone find him and bring him to the RSPCA or pound. I'm goign to drop off a flyer at the pound and the local vets.

How scary, I'm so sorry you're going through this. We lost our little one once, and a nice neighbour had taken him up to her unit, it was just lucky that her husband was out putting the garbage out when I walked past, crying, calling his name. I think people just don't understand how much the owners are pining and stressing out so they might take their time to do anything about it.

Chloe I am hoping like crazy that you find Bailey today.

I am so sorry, I can't imagine how you would be feeling. I have faith in the kindness of strangers because look at the response you have had on i-do in terms of people ringing up shelters and helping you look. I am confident he will be returned to you.
