Bailey somehow escaped from the house a couple of hours ago. I think he squeezed out between the bars of the side gate. He was not wearing his collar as he was inside all day and had only gone outside before he was about to eat.

We have driven around Doncaster east for the last 2 hrs and I am now printing up missing dog signs. I know some of you live in this area and I'm hoping and praying someone might find him.

He was seen by a couple walking down our street near the Beverley St primary school.

He is microchipped. I have no idea whether there is a pound in this area and the RSPCA are closed.

Alex is still out looking for him. I am so worried, the couple who saw him said he looked really freaked out and wouldn't come to them (which isn't like him as he loves people). They said he almost got hit by a car.

Please if anyone can help. Alex's number is 04111 700 59. I would do anything to find him asap.

Saffire, the manningham pound is at the end of blackburn rd where it hits warrandyte rd (just through the roundabout to the right). There is a council works depot & the pound is in there. Get in contact with them first thing in the morning. Also get in contact with the lost dogs home 9329-2755 & lort smith animal hospital 9328-3021.
Good luck, I hope you find Bailey safe and sound. sad.gif

OMG thank you. I didn't know which was the most local pound. I've posted messages on lostdogs and I've contacted the AEC (the only vet i can think of tha tis open at this time) as well as the local police station.

I am crying my heart out atm as I've posted pictures of him on various websites and its really hard to look at his pictures without wondering where he is now.

Try Bundoora (sorry not sure of the # but it is on plenty rd) it's an emergency all hours clinic too, I know it's a bit away from you, but probably no more so than glen waverly, and I guess it just depends on what areas people know if they need to take an animal there.
Oh & see if manningham have an after hours emergency ranger, probably not, but worth a try.

Thanks Tazz. I've called Bundoora and left a description and my details with them.

I'm praying someone has found him and that he is not wandering on the streets somewhere.

This is the sign I have made up - I'm not thinking clearly can someone tell me if I need to add anything else? I'm goign to drop it off in everyone's letterbox tonight. I have to do something, I can't just sit and wait til the morning when I can call the councils and pounds...

Lost Dog

Bailey

1 yr old male (desexed) dog. Bailey is a Shetland Sheepdog (miniature lassie). He is microchipped although he was not wearing a collar when he ran away. He was last seen in the Doncaster East area on Devon Drive.

He is an orangey tan colour, with a white chest, white feet and a little white stripe on his forehead. He has a black bushy tail.
Please contact Alex or Chloe 04111 700 59

We love him very much and will do anything to have him back home

I've also included pictures of him...

IPB Image

and the one I posted in my original post.

I can't believe he escaped. He must have somehow climbed over hgue dog house that was barracading the side of the house, then gotten past the shade cloth we have wrapped around the side gate, as well as squeezed through the bars of the actual gate to get out. I heard him barking downstairs just before he must have ran out. He was only outside for less than half an hour in the backyard (which is usually safe) as we were about to feed everyone.

We don't usually put their collars on while they are inside as they matt their fur around their necks. I swear if he comes home I'm going to shave his neck and leave his collar on for the rest of his life if I have to.

Thank you girls for your support.

I know this sounds obvious but have you been in the back yard and called again??? We live in a new area and Jordan some times takes himself for a walk up to the park but somehow he manages to come back and trust me he is not street smart at all.

He may have made his way back and is stuck some where near where he got out???

Fingers crossed he is with someone. When we had a bad storm here friends of ours found a dog at their front doorstep, kept her over night and then took her to the pound and found her owner. There are good people out there Chloe, he will come back to you smile.gif

Chloe I'd post on DOL as well & see if you get any news from then. I'm not working tomorrow so pm me if you need a hand racing around looking out for him, I'd be more than happy to lend a hand.

Try & stay calm sweetie, he'll be back home again soon.
