Their 1kg blocks of cheese are the same price as the Woolworths homebrand cheese. So we won't be buying cheese from Aldi anymore, would much prefer to be able to put it on the credit card than have the money come straight out of our account.

Nappies are now $17.99 too.

I am going to compare prices when I am not sure by using their online shopping list.

ETA: correction, Aldi cheese is still 20 cents cheaper than the homebrand woolies, but I am actually preferring the woolies again now.

Went to Aldi today and wasnt happy at all. They hardly had anything that i normally buy and they said its because not many people are buying it anymore so they arent stocking up. Maybe if they put their prices back down people would buy it.

Seriously considering giving Aldi the flick

I find most of the time now I can hardly be bothered to go to Aldi, except to stock up on the few things they do that I actually prefer their brand.

I'd rather do my whols shop at my local coles as they are always chucking out something cheap and have other specials. I got 1kg block of coon cheese for $3.50 the other day!

We still shop at our Aldi. Nothing much has changed at ours. I found their tinned tomatoes a bit runny anyway so we stopped buy them.

We get most items at aldi and just top up at woolies as we need it

Ours has gone downhill again, so might swap to another Aldi to see if they're any better.
They have near to no Fruit/Veg and it's too old to buy..
They have no rice cakes and have stopped selling a whole heap of things we used to buy.

Sadly, I have to persist, because it's still tons cheaper! Will now buy fruit and veg from dedicated fruit/veg shop. Their meat is still nicer than Coles or Woolies..
We went to Coles last weekend, came out with 3 small bags - $65! ohmy.gif

I'm still happy with our Aldi, for what I buy from there it's still heaps cheaper. I have found a couple things i buy have gone up - but hey, thats business, a few things have come down as well.

The only department our Coles seems to have any good specials or priced to clear items is in the bakery which I pick up when I see them but we don't eat a great deal of bakery stuff anyways. I've always found our local Woolworths overpriced and don't really love the Woolworths select items so I'm still finding Aldi is the best choice for us.

We don't buy meat and vegies from Aldi so don't know if that makes a difference? we buy practically everything else there.
