Ours will depend on flights. We are getting married on the Saturday, and we are having a BBQ at my in laws the following day. We will either leave Sunday night or Monday morning. Personnally I would rather Sunday night, gives us that few extra hours of honeymoon! laugh.gif

We're leaving on the Monday, after our wedding on the Saturday. We wanted time to pack and get organised after the wedding, as life will be too hectic before it!

We'll have overseas guests who we will make time to see before the wedding. smile.gif

Good work! I have decided to wait for the mid week flight.

I am hoping to book through my travel agent friend, so I'll tell her to tell FH that the sunday flight is all booked up!!!

We flew out on the Sunday arvo after a Saturday wedding and it was great! We got to the resort tired but we then had time to unwind there. For us it was more important to have time together with just the two of us than spend more time with guests who we had spent so much time with already. When we got married Adam was fly in/fly out so we had limited time anyway and he'd been home the week before the wedding but a lot of guests had arrived in that week as well.

I just got back from mine & i got married on the Satday then left on a 9am flight the next morning to Whitsundays, Boy were we tired when we arrived but im positive i wouldnt have wanted it anyother way. It felt great because it wasnt just over the next day then honeymoon, it all feel intogether like it didnt stop until we got back home. i think i would have been depressed if we stayed home then went on honeymoon. Thats just me tho, Everyone feels differently in different ways.

We're getting married sat feb 5 and plan to leave for NZ on an 8am flight the next morning. So seeing as it is an international flight we'll have to be at the airport by 6am - no sleeping in for us!

Tickets aren't booked as yet but that is the general plan I just hope I can sleep on the plane.

Lets see, we were married on the 27th March this year and we still haven't left ohmy.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif
We have booked and cancelled our honeymoon that many times that I think we have just given up.

I really like the idea of what Gayle said: The day after the wedding have the BBQ and leave late that same night - that way you both get what you want biggrin.gif It also depends on the guests as well.

Jon and I would have loved to have had a honeymoon straight after our wedding, but 1/2 of our guests were from New Zealand, so we thought it would be rather rude of us to pack up and leave while they were still in the country (especially since it was monstly his family too) - so we stayed home and played host to about 10-15 people ohmy.gif

We will have overseas and interstate guests so we thought we should spend some time with them on the SUnday and then head off on the Monday.

I want the Sunday to be a day to rehash the wedding with our family and friends over a BBQ.

We're getting married on Saturday and leaving for Thailand on the Tuesday night.

We have a lot of people coming to the wedding from overseas so that way we can say hello before they go back home.

Victory has been mine!! FH has seen reason and has also decided that Wednesday is the best option for us. We will now have a bbq on the sunday, then spend Monday & Tuesday putting presents away (it took 3 weeks to do this after our engagement party) and pack etc. YAY!
