I used them, not for a wedding though. I used them for my 21st birthday party (which was many years ago). They were great, very professional.

We are using them and when you mention your an I-do member you get a discount!

You don't get to meet the dj, something i wanted but i spoke to a few companies and none of them were able to let me meet the dj as the assignments are only given out the week before.

I like the fact that you can choose everysong played - they will email you a song list, but bear in mind that you can check the updated list on their website up to the day before the wedding.

They are a national outfit as far as I know and the ones in your local area may be okay but some of the local Moby disk DJs where I live are awful - PM me if you want details but you might be okay.

We were going with them, but they lied to us, when we booked we ask if we will get to meet the DJ before the wedding to talk over songs and all of that, they said yeah sure, so we booked them, and then we called for another reason 1 they didnt have our booking and 2 you cant meet with the DJ coz it is randomly picked like on the day....

Hi!

Where are you getting married again? Have you tried anyone else? I am in the Hunter Valley and am going with a dj. They are excellent, we had them for our Engagement party and my brother is also using them for his wedding. PM me if you want their details.

They also said you can't meet the dj which was unacceptable to me

I would be very wary of this. We were going to use them, and then someone gave me some very bad feedback. This person worked in a club and saw them regularly. I think, judging, from all the responses that you are getting, that it really does depend on the DJ you get. Personally I wouldn't take that chance on my wedding night. huh.gif

I've heard bad things about this company and I don't think it's worth taking the risk on your wedding day to have a dud.

We used a great DJ company - they met with us prior to the wedding day and went over everything.

The DJ was fantastic! He was also our MC.

The music was so great that the dance floor was really too small to fit everyone on.

I was quite specific about the type of music I wanted played - I chose lots that I liked, but also songs I knew that a wide range of people would also enjoy.

Hi Victoria,

I have used this mob on 2 occasions.
The first occasion was my 21st birthday (2001) We had a lovely lady by the name of Vanessa. She was fantastic, had no problems taking requests from guest, was great with the kids that were in attendance at the party (one of which was my 13 month old son)
Of course the great service from this lady was what lead me to use her again for our engagement party (2003). HOWEVER it was a completly different DJ and let me tell you he was an absolutly rude SOB dry.gif . His song selection was CRAP blink.gif , he didn't bring probably half of the songs we requested and he was rude and nasty to the kids (again one being my son) mad.gif

So basically beacuse of one rude man, I would never use this company again!!!!
But that is just my experience and as some of the girls metioned, the DJ's are randomly assigned to a job. Also I am from the Melbourne area, so maybe you might have better luck!!!! smile.gif

I've been to parties where they have been, and I think the DJ would have had more fun sticking pins in his eyes! I have not seen one who actually looks like they want to be there!!! (I am sure there are people who are great from moby, they just havent been in the same place at the same time as me!)

We didn't end up using a DJ, but at one stage we were. Our venue strongly recommended that we DIDN'T use them, because they've been very unimpressed with what they had seen in the past.

We have just booked our dj www.i-do.com.au/nsw/djplus and he sounds really good. My Fianceeeee spoke to him on the phone for about 20 mins, and said he sounded good. No hard sell, hes been doing it for 26 year, so we rang him back and booked him. Not bad we though, he said if we want songs he hasn't got, he'll spend up to about $150 getting them. We can give him orginal CD's if he hasn't got the songs either, but all of the songs we have looked up on the web site he has. Check it out. He sounds great.

A recent wedding had a mobydisk put on by the venue, and it was pretty ordinary. They would only play one song for the introduction of the bridal party at the reception !
