You don't get to meet the dj, something i wanted but i spoke to a few companies and none of them were able to let me meet the dj as the assignments are only given out the week before.
I like the fact that you can choose everysong played - they will email you a song list, but bear in mind that you can check the updated list on their website up to the day before the wedding.

Where are you getting married again? Have you tried anyone else? I am in the Hunter Valley and am going with a dj. They are excellent, we had them for our Engagement party and my brother is also using them for his wedding. PM me if you want their details.

WE had them for our Enagagement Party in QUeensland.
They were good. They have heaps and heaps of songs to choose from...

|They also said you can't meet the dj which was unacceptable to me|
I would be very wary of this. We were going to use them, and then someone gave me some very bad feedback. This person worked in a club and saw them regularly. I think, judging, from all the responses that you are getting, that it really does depend on the DJ you get. Personally I wouldn't take that chance on my wedding night.

We used a great DJ company - they met with us prior to the wedding day and went over everything.
The DJ was fantastic! He was also our MC.
The music was so great that the dance floor was really too small to fit everyone on.
I was quite specific about the type of music I wanted played - I chose lots that I liked, but also songs I knew that a wide range of people would also enjoy.

I have used this mob on 2 occasions.
The first occasion was my 21st birthday (2001) We had a lovely lady by the name of Vanessa. She was fantastic, had no problems taking requests from guest, was great with the kids that were in attendance at the party (one of which was my 13 month old son)
Of course the great service from this lady was what lead me to use her again for our engagement party (2003). HOWEVER it was a completly different DJ and let me tell you he was an absolutly rude SOB . His song selection was CRAP , he didn't bring probably half of the songs we requested and he was rude and nasty to the kids (again one being my son)
So basically beacuse of one rude man, I would never use this company again!!!!
But that is just my experience and as some of the girls metioned, the DJ's are randomly assigned to a job. Also I am from the Melbourne area, so maybe you might have better luck!!!!

A recent wedding had a mobydisk put on by the venue, and it was pretty ordinary. They would only play one song for the introduction of the bridal party at the reception !
