Hello all

I am having a nightmare of a time trying to find a photographer that isn't too expensive, or one that doesn't have pre-concieved notions of what wedding photography should and shouldn't be.

Scott and I have a list and a little scrapbook of the photos we definetely want as I have some precious family coming from overseas / interstate and I really, really want certain photos with them. But most of the photographers just won't listen. Any recommendations?

I went with TWK at Coorparoo. (he advertises on I-do) and used the main photograpger there- Thaddeus. He was wonderful!!! Very open to our suggestions and made us just feel so relaxed on the day.

We spoke to him prior to the wedding and mentioned that we wanted photos of special guests visiting from o/s and our grandmothres- both in their late 80's. He not only took great photos of them , but went to lengths on the day to take candid photos of everyone we had invited and went to the trouble to find out who 'special' guests were so he could make sure he got a few shots of them for us to choose from.

and the photos were fabulous (If I can say so myself..being the 'main' subject after all tongue.gif)

His daughter Krista also is great- I saw some of her work and loved it too.

We went with a middle of the road priced package: $1700 from memory for a beautiful album with a stainless steel cover, hundreds of photos, all the full sized proofs, thank you cards, gifts for all the attendants, a very large framed and mounted photo of us.

We were very happy with the price and the result- however if your budget doesn't allow for this outlay then I am sure he had other packages available.

Feel free to pm me for any more q's!

The photographer we are using is under $1000 and you get full copyright and a slide show on CD as well as a garanteed minumum number of photos. We are going for his most expensive package and that is $995.

Hi, the photographer we are using for our wedding is charging $800 for over 200 photos, he is brilliant he usually charges more but we simple said that we want 200 photos and we don't want to spend more than $800. Its all digital we get 200 photos in prints and on disc and extra photos will also be put on disc and then we just get them made up ourselves. He takes photos while your getting ready and also of the guys then he stays for the entire reception, which is really good because most photographers charge extra to stay, anyway if your interested let me know and I'll give you his details, he lives on the northside of Brisbane.
