I have hair just like yours.. its very very fine but it always looks fluffy if i dont straighten it..
About 5 years ago I had a Muster and paid some ridiculous amount for it. Back then it was about $250 And i thought it was great. I had it for ages but then it just stopped heating like it use to.
My husband had dreadlocks at the time and went and bought a cheap straightner for his dreads at GoLo for $14.95, because he kept on getting wax all over mine.. And would you believe I ended up swapping with him in the end. Ive had it for 2 years now and its by far the best straightner Ive ever had!!! Strange hey! And it really does straighten your hair very very well.. I couldnt tell you the brand though because its worn off!! I just couldnt believe something so cheap could work so well!

My sister has recently got a GHD and swears by it though. Ill have to give it a go and see if it works as well.

I'd tried all sorts of straighters on my hair (it is very thick and curly) and my GHD is the only one that straightens it properly. It is without a doubt worth it. smile.gif

I have to agree, I have very thick, bushy hair and my GHD is the only one that does the trick !

I bought mine off ebay for a fantastic price ! I'd go researching if I were you smile.gif

If we had a house fire I would grab my GHD first (apart from my daughter of course) tongue.gif that's how good it is.

I too have thick curly hair and my GHD is the only straightner that straightens my hair perfectly.

I bought mine from E-Bay and saved quite a bit of money.

It honestly is worth the money.

All I know is that Stefan say their straightener is exactly the same as a GHD & will hint that they are made at the same factory, but... when I was in Stefan a few months ago, the hairdresser was straightening my hair & I marveled at how good the straightener was & how it looks exactly like my GHD... she showed me the label & it was a GHD...she said that she brings hers in from home & would get in trouble if they knew & that they are trained to tell everybody that theirs are just as good as the GHD but they are not.

There is another brand you can get from hairhouse warehouse that sell a brand called NHD..? I think.. Apparently it has better heating settings than the GHD but is so much cheaper. I brought it and I love it.!!!

GHD surpasses everytime.. Yes $300 is alot to spend but believe me it is a very worthwhile investment!! I dont even have to blow dry/style my hair anymore. I just wait till it dries naturally then GHD it..

I use the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it has tourmaline ceramic plates which cause less damage to the hair, it gets hotter to 460F for all the hair textures and I love it because it keeps my hair soft, shiny and super straight. Plus you can style your hair the way you like. biggrin.gif

Hope this helps and good luck girl smile.gif
