Thought i would ask a couple of things, Orlando is only sleeping 30mins and having 3 naps a day for about a week now, is this enough ?

I bought some chicken breasts for him to try, i cooked some up with veges, minced it first, it was tiny bits like bolognese sauce and he started gagging on it half way through, i made the bits quarter the size of peas, did he gag cause he didn't like it ? i had to tip him upside down and pat him on the back as he was going all red in the face but what came out was just small stuff. Should i make the chicken more like a puree or just keep trying the lumpier stuff ?

Grace, layla does this too, i just keep tryin, its weird cause she gums on toast and gets lumps!!!! but when i add meat to her veges she does the same as Orlando, gags!!!!! i think they will win an award for wonderful acting and scaring their mummies!!!!

I am really scared to give him toast, is there a non-gag variety ? what kind of bread do you give, wholemeal ?they told us to start wheat at 8 months, so in 2 weeks unsure.gif

yes Grace i give her wholemeal, thats what we eat and sooo much better for her than white bread and it tastes nicer too. good luck, i just cut the crusts off and cut it into fingers and let her go for it, i was worried at first in case she choked but she does great with it, i give it to her one piece at a time and when that one is absolutley mushy and grose i give her a fresh piece, normally she only has about 2 fingers.
i either put avocado on it or i melt a tiny bit of cheese onto it, she prefers the cheese one.
hope that helps!!!

Grace, B wouldnt eat her dinner when I added the chicken in - she'd spit it out.... turns out it was too lumpy. I now process it all with water and veggies in the blender, and it's much smoother and she is happy again!

You can keep persisiting, or you could try pureeing it more and see if it helps.

I pureed it, did the trick, thanks, i have never pureed chicken before like that tongue.gif
