Hi, I'll be here too. Although this month I'm not working out CD's, O days, DPO's etc. Just going to BD often and leave the rest to figure itself out. I'm sick of stressing out over all the small things. Good luck everyone!

Given that AF has not arrived yet, there is still a hypothetical chance I will not have to join this cafe, although in reality I know I will be, feeling very pre-Af-y.

umaaaaah! j/k

I'm finding it really easy atm with food/alcohol. I could of even had a freebie champagne at dinner on Sunday night (they offered cos of the stuff up with our booking once they realised it was my birthday). I thought about it for a second and then said no thanks........she then said, any drink, your choice, on me, so i went for a lemonade. Last night at dinner, I had a lemon lime and bitters and I didn't have any alcohol at all on Saturday at my in-laws. My husbands father eventually caught on, not that he was supposed to! He started saying, ooh ooh your mother said I"m not allowed to say things like that (he had said to my husband, in training for the 'boys')

I just shook my head and laughed.

Happy Birthday for the other day Amy!!

I havent really gotten into the BDing as yet as we are only about 11 days in... last month I think that we ran out of steam before O day!

As for the alcohol, I havent had any to drink myself, but there are some evenings when a glass of wine would be nice.. smile.gif

11 days in is just as good a time to start as any, especially if you are going to try the every second day routine smile.gif

Yeah I know about the alcohol, I have some duty free stuff I brought back from Fiji and haven't cracked it open cos of TTC..........I would like to know what the kurrant vodka is like.

Bec OPK's - pee in a cup and dip for a few secs, best to use afternoon wee after a few hours of not drinking but I always get better results in the morning, just a matter of trial and error.

If you get a line that is as dark as or darker than the control, that is a positive. This means you are likely to O in the next 24-36 hours, so you should get BDing.

If you get a faint line its not considered a positive - but if you do this for a few cycles in conjunction with temping and realise that you never get a dark line, a faint line could be "your" positive (some people wee to often lol)

sorry if you've already figured that out, would be a pity for you to waste any tests though!!
pink teddies
I think that I would be the wee too often people!

I tend to drink lots of water and in the afternoon I am a wee machine!!

Hi There Girls
I will probably popping my head in quite a bit as we are on the TTC journey, sorry for going anon but I want to keep our TTC journey a secret. I am not sure if I know anyone on the boards IRL but I just want to be careful. This is our first month so cross fingers we have success. I am now CD 17 and not sure if I have reached ovulation yet. I have been doing OPK's but not getting any smiley face yet. I thought I would have by now but I am not really switched on with my cycles too well. We have been doing the BD thing quite a bit so hopefully it works.

Can someone please tell me why you shouldn't do the OPK's in the morning, this could be my problem. I thought this would be best for me as I drink so much water through out the day that I would not be able to hold it in for longer then 3 hours.

I'm in for September now too!!! I guess I'm technically in 2WW. We aren't meant to be actually TTC'ing until next month but I had a little accident with the pill. I never take the sugar tablets and I forgot where I was up to, I couldn't remember what was going on so I thought ahhh, I'll just skip it this month - and then promptly forgotIPB Image to let Steve know that I wasn't taking the pill.................. is there a D'oh smilie???

Of course we'll be happy if it happens now, we were planning on doing lots 'trying' on our break at the blue mountains next month!

Friday morning update!!! and Happy September!!! Have a great final day at work ladies and a most enjoyable weekend.
Hey, I need ideas on how hubby and I can celebrate our wedding anniversary this month. i was thinking Gold Class movies (as we have never done that before) and then dinner at a nice restaurant. Was thinking about staying somewhere overnight, but its really an expense that can be a total waste of money......hmmmmmmmmm
pink teddies
Hi Amy - Happy September to you too!

the gold class movie and dinner idea is a good one.

You should go to the website of some of the nice hotels though as you might get a "last minute" deal or go to Last minute deals on hotelclub. DH and I got a night at the Stamford for $120 (down from about $400+) earlier this year for our wedding night!

I am looking forward to the weekend smile.gif

Well I ordered my OPKs this morning, I wasn't going to this month and just do the temping thing but I figured this way I can be extra sure! With my length cycle I should start using them from CD16 but I might not get them in time. Is anyone else using them? Is it easy or hard?
