Hubby was given a family pass to go whale watching so we went this morning. It was the best 2hrs. We saw several humpbacks 2 of which apparently were mating! The first one (presumably the male) started thumping his tale then the other (presumably the female) started too. It went on for several minutes fairly close to the boat, they took it in turns to thump their tale on the water.

Then the captain started telling us how the male was warning us to stay away from the female. Then they started "doing what they do" I thought oh no don't go any further I don't feel like having "that talk" with my kids just yet!

It was a fantastic 2 hrs, the kids loved it. It was my first time on a boat & I didn't get sick YAY. Did take a tablet beforehand though just in case.

Yes we have been on the spirit of Coffs Harbour........ On our honeymoon and it was great!!!! Got a bit sea sick as i was concentrating on the camera trying to see what pics i took lol

We live in Hervey Bay, and for a surprise for our guests at our wedding this October, we've booked a surprise whale watch cruise between the ceremony and reception.

We've never done it before, and since our town is famous for this industry, we thought it would be a fantastic surprise for everyone!
