i've seen a lot of photos in people's albums/links that have jacki o photos.. i think her style is beautiful so i'm asking (yet again probably, sorry!) people to post photos and give info regarding her choices

i love her dress.. especially the back! does anyone know who designed it? does anyone have close up photos of the back?

love her hair as well.. my hair might be too fine to pull it off though unfortunately sad.gif

also, does anyone know where her wedding/reception took place?

was her wedding in a magazine and if so does someone have the scans? (sorry, i'm not australian so i would have missed this)

i'm definately not looking to copy her style (as i have different ideas and a really small budget) tongue.gif however i'm just trying to get little details from numerous sources and piece them together to form my own vision. thanks in advance! smile.gif

If you do a search under Jackie O then it should bring up heaps of stuff.

Her dress was by Al3x P3rry, designer to the stars smile.gif

Saffire/Chloe has pics of the back of her dress in her photo album. Her dress had a similar train I believe.

thanks.. didn't even think of that, d'oh! tongue.gif

Hi Amy, I have a few pictures on my computer I have saved. I never saw the magazine spread of Jackie O's wedding, but I think she has a website with her photos posted.

Hi Amy

My dress (well the back anyway) and probably my hair as well was inspired by Jackie O's wedding. I'm fairly short and wanted a dress that would not be too poofy, so more of an a-line style, but still big (thus the train) as it was probably my only opportunity to wear a really big dress:)

Let me know if you would like my dressmaker's details - she works from Brisbane and has done miracles for me.

Did you want to know what flowers jackie 'o had? or myself?

Jackie's flowers were by Sus@n Av3ry. Susan has a lot of photos of Jackie's wedding and her flowers at her studio in Woollahra.

Actually I also wanted peonies or david austen roses but we were limited to the availability in March which was too hot for those more delicate flowers. I ended up extremely happy with the flowers which were done by a friend of the family as a wedding present which made them even more special smile.gif

thanks much everyone! again, saffire, your flowers and dress and everything are really beautiful! you can pm me the details of your dressmaker just to have.. but i have a feeling she's probably wayyy out of our budget! did you have to go to brisbane a few times for fittings and such?

our budget is probably smaller than most so really what i'm after is just inspiration. smile.gif

The bridesmaids bouquets were stunning - especially against their crimson red dresses:) We were wrapt with how they all turned out biggrin.gif

My pleasure Amy smile.gif

As many here are probably sick of hearing me say, my dressmaker Edyta is fabulous. She worked for over 35 years in the Melbourne wedding couture business and has been headhunted over the years by many prestigous Melbourne bridal boutiques.

She now works from Brisbane and prefers to work from home sewing couture gowns for a fracton of the price you would pay in the boutiques. Edyta charged me $1500 for my gown (although I already had the material which would have been much cheaper if Edyta had sourced it in the first place) and $28 for the veil. This is a fraction of the price the same dress would have cost me in the boutiques (I had been quoted around $6k and upwards)... I can't recommend her enough smile.gif

I actually had my gown made in the last 3 weeks leading up to the wedding - it was completed in just over 2 weeks. I flew up from Melbourne for the calico fitting and flew back the week before the wedding where we went back once to have the final fitting, and the final time to pick up the dress. So altogether I was there 3 times. It worked out well for me though because I was getting married in Brisbane anyway so I needed to be up there.

Hope you get as much inspiration as you need - these forums are perfect for getting ideas and bouncing them off many of us here smile.gif

Chloe, I love your flowers

I want orchid and roses for my bouquet but have not found any decent photos of bouquets with both flowers ( until now). I was starting to think the combination of roses and orchids might not look good together but now I know they do.
