hey Jules, so you know where i mean! A few years ago I had no idea where Lugarno was (i grew up in Blacktown) moved out to Hurstville area when i moved in with DH before we got engaged.
So it's a dream at the moment, but we are working towards it.
That's great about your album, i haven't started working on mine yet!!!
hey Mazz, glade the sickness passed, hope it stays that way for you.
Lugarno is where we would like to buy.
Hey Amy, how exciting!!! New curtins, beautiful. actually you reminded me, that's something i have to put on the list 'to do'
Peach blinds, how could that beat my old burnt orange curtins!
Puggie
Mar 21 2007, 08:47 AM
Hehe. Burnt orange curtains you could MAYBE do a retro 60s theme. Peach/Apricot is just ugly. But if you feel they'd be an improvement, I can post them to you (once I'm finished using them as drop sheets for painting)

You guys sound like you are all going great guns with your reno's! You must all take an example from Puggie and post some photos of your reno's once they are done. Amy your curtains and wall colour look fantastic! I really want a pair of those see through blinds for the living room so when the curtains are open you can see out but neighbours can't see in - we unfortunately didn't get the 6ft fence on that side!!!! BUGGER!!!!
Our next project is to move the dirt we have sitting behind the garage to the front garden when we box it in and then to pave a little courtyard type area behind the garage where the dirt currently is! I better get working on motivating Pete i think!

Our wedding dvd is pretty much finished. We got the rough cut a while ago and have finally put through all the little changes and music requests to get the final copy done. Must email him to see if they are done completely yet

Photo's are a different story, we still have to re go over the ones we picked to make sure we are happy with those ones and then pick the blown up ones we want for us and bridal party/family (we get a box of 10 10"x7" so we decided to give b.party one each and parents a couple and keep a couple for us).

Sounds like everyone giving the renovations/house fixer upping a go right about now.....we have the gutter ppl now putting on new gutters around the house and the new extension and to put a long story short they've pissed me off so much this morning!!! yapping about the extenstion my brothyer put up in 2 days (with hubby's help) and how he didnt finisht he job off properly for them WTF, made me so mad i tell ya!!!

i just told them that before they continued on with their shit they might wanna know that my brother was the carpenter who did the job and who i trust completely and he did a kick ass job so SHUT UP morons!!! - i know this probably makes no sense to u guys so im sorry but had to let the vent out somewhere!!!
ill try and get some pics done and show u the wor in progress before it gets sealed up....
Soooooo Kylz have u had ur next scan yet?!?! were all hanging for it u know

my renos aren't really happening, we are so lazy, but we did say hopefully april we will get cracking into it.
Amy you have inspired me

, I don't know much about curtins, but i spoke to my mum & asked if she could help me with buying some cheapos from spotlight as im sure i would come home with the wrong size!
It will look so much better in the lounge room, we have a new mocha coloured lounge, i think i will get a darker shade curtin & i think i will get the blinds professionally drycleanned too.
Thank you!
Thanks terrible Jules, men talk about people behind there back sometimes worse than girls.
Juless
Mar 21 2007, 12:28 PM
oh they sure shit me Carla - it just made it worse coz the thing they were bitching about was something they should be doing for the gutters not him for the extension....grrrrrrrr still mad about it - sorry ladies, ill go take my frustration out on hubby now that he's home from work - poor him!

Hey are our photos of the lounge room, happy with the look of the natural floorboards, after the polish the should be spectacular! it's can be a gamble not knowing what is underneath, especially because our house is 60yrs old.
Before, dirty bachelor style Lounge & carpet.

Me going in for the kill with the stanley knife (Had to nag DH to get off the computer to take a photo of me, hehe!)

Bad paint job we found underneath, but lucky the new lounge completely covers it & a sander should be able to get rid of it.

Hallway

is it too late to put the carpet back on? Hehe just kidding

new lounge
Juless
Mar 21 2007, 05:04 PM
Looking good Carla!! the floorboards underneath the carpet look pretty good and a good sanding and polish will have them looking as good as new!! we'll be putting floorboards in the extension and moving them into the kitchen and back area too when we finally get to the floor the new room - cant wait for that!
And love the new lounge - is it suede?? looks good and great colour choice
kylz4
Mar 21 2007, 05:30 PM
Carla that is going to look awesome once the floorboards are sanded and polished up!!!! I love your couch too.....i want a big modular one like that too

Amy you poor thing working a 14 hour day - i've just finished my 2 hour day LMAO
Lady CJ
Mar 22 2007, 10:38 AM
hey girls,
thanks, yeh we are pretty happy with it all.
yes it's suede, stain proof too! we paid the extra money for stain proof. im sure when babies come along in the years to come it won't be stain proof anymore!!

i just sent a post about what photos I might get enlarged, let me know what you think, would love your opinions.

Hey Carla - i posted in ur other thread but ill say it here too all those photo's look great but u would go with the last one as an enlargement!

Lady CJ
Mar 22 2007, 12:13 PM
That's great Jules! Woho for you! is the DVD for your Wedding Video?
What is it with the video companies!!! we should be getting ours next week, it's ready just this week, but the videoman had to order something in for me, so he is waiting for that first. 4 & 1/2 mths to complete a wedding video, doesnt make sense does it!
Juless
Mar 22 2007, 01:02 PM
yeah its for the wedding dvd - weve been waiting for ages and at first i wasnt fussed coz we got our photos and got to go thru them all and plan out the album but now that we have the album i sooooo want the wedding dvd right now too

but the guys are heaps busy with an average of 2 functions per weekend so they're a little behind and they do a draft copy of the dvd for their customers and have to wait for them to get back to them before doing the final copy so it all adds up in time i guess....but seriously ppl just move along and do ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WAH! Came off shift at 9.30pm last night. By the time I returned my equipment to the library for safe keeping and got home it was 10. Now off to work again. I am so tired
Lady CJ
Mar 23 2007, 07:02 AM
You poor thing Amy! that is heaps long to be working, you must be so tired.
Hey Maiko, no i have no idea what wood the floorboards are, I would of said they are floorboard type wood, hehe, i have NFI when it comes to wood.
but it's nothing special like Tasmanian oak or anything like that.
Im so excited, Next Thursday I have people coming to my house to pull down the blinds & clean them! how sad! hehe. 6 Blinds is costing $170. It's also DH's bday on Thursday & so i took the opportunity while i have the day off to get stuff done around the house.
Also I enquired about what to do with our Bathroom ceiling as it is mouldy from not having a fan (we have one now) I thought we would need a professional to put a new ceiling. But they said I could easily clean it with sugar soap & then paint it with special bathroom paint.
So that's the first two steps we are taking to prepare our house to be on the market! How exciting! Except there are about 20 other things that need to be done! LOL

Hey Jules, um it's his 35th, shite! we are going to a german restaurant in beverly hills this saturday with his rowdy workmates & there wifes/partners, but i know them too from when i used to work there.
& then the Saturday after we are having the combined bday party for his mates from school, there bdays are 27, 28 (bestman) & DH, 29 March, i think we are going to a Thai retaurant/pub in Newtown.
Not sure what DH wants, well i know he wants PS3 but he knows that is in the too expensive basket, I think he wants a few vouchers, maybe a DVD & a bookstore vouher.
But last night I made something special for him, i bought this frame that fits 3 small size photos in it & cut up the photos of his daughter as the FG & put them in there, it looks so nice, I'm thinking of making one for her too to have in her room at her mum's house.
Juless
Mar 23 2007, 07:44 AM

Mar 23 2007, 09:27 AM
yeh DH loves that he is going to be drinking lots in the next couple of weeks! He is a worry sometimes!
Hey Jules, want to ask about travelling to your Bro's house is Lugarno, how long does it take you from Penrith? My mum lives in Baulkham hills & to get to her house we go M5 to the M7, just wondering how far the M5 is from Lugarno & if it can be a busy road to the M5 from Lugarno?
Wondering because we travel to mum's alot so we hope it won't take longer than the 40mins it does take from bexley, if we move to Lugarno.
Sorry so many questions!
Juless
Mar 23 2007, 09:32 AM
Hey Carla - we take roughly the same path, but from Penrith we go down the the M4, then M7 and then M5....i think the Lugarno exit going from Penrith to ur way is earlier on the M5 than getting to Bexley so it might even be a lil closer for u guys if u move to Lugarno....
and depending on what time of the day u use the M5 it can be busy but thats mostly during the working week and peak hour traffic time....the weekends are usually a pretty good ride on any of the motorways.....
hope that helps
Lady CJ
Mar 23 2007, 09:37 AM
Thanks hun, yep that helps, gotta love that new M7 hey?!
Also what I was wondering is when you get off the M5 to get to your Bro's house, is it 10mins from there or longer than that to get to his house? hope that makes sense.
Juless
Mar 23 2007, 09:54 AM
yep makes sense and no need to apologise for asking questions - im happy to help....
and yes the m7 rocks as a motorway - a bit expensive but its not like u use it everyday so its cool
just spoke to hubby about it coz he's been there more than i have (its only a new place for his brother) and he said it was roughly 5-10mins off the m5 - so hardly anything really....
Lady CJ
Mar 23 2007, 09:58 AM
oh thanks hun, that's is such a relief to know it's not far from the motorway! awesome, im going to tell DH now!

I'll check the website out soon.
Jules! oh my gosh DH is a Bulldogs Fan!!! I don't really follow nrl that much, but love to put footy tips in etc.
a close couple friends of ours are the same, he grew up in Penrith & follows the panthers & his wife follows the dogs!
Juless
Mar 23 2007, 01:23 PM
heheh oh im a nutter of a bulldogs fan trust me - it can get ugly (as in i mope something bad when my team loses!!!) im so sad i know
i love the relationships where ur on opposite teams in a game - they make for a great couple of hours!! hilarious couple of hours actually coz my brother supports the panthers and his g/f supports the dogs and listening to them is hysterical!!!! they're coming with us tonight actually and she already handed my brother a packet of tissues to take to the game tonight when his team loses and he needs to cry!! funny stuff
Lissy - i jus checked out ur photo's on the web site they look fantastic!! and im dying to hear about ur trip, if i remember correctly u guys were going to vegas?? u gotta tell me what u thought of it and where u stayed and stuff - DH and i absolutely loved the place!
Lady CJ
Mar 23 2007, 01:48 PM
Hehe Yeh that's my DH, screaming blue murder when they don't win, so I always hope they win! last week we had the lounge room window open when he was watching the dogs, I was watering the garden & he screamed out YOU IDOIT!!!! at the TV, scared the shit out of me (though i should be used to it by now) & the whole neighbourhood would of heard!
Lissy, I love your photos, I love the bottom one of you looking serious!
Lady CJ
Mar 23 2007, 02:05 PM
I just spoke to my photographer about that photo I want to get enlarged & I told him that I should be getting my Wedding DVD next week & he was shocked that it has taken so long & he knows the Video guy, a friend of his in the industry.
He was saying 'Abraham (videoman) is the one who normally asks me why I take so long with the photos etc & he used to always have his DVD's done faster than it would take me to finish the photos!!'
It feels good to know that an industry professional thinks it's crazy that it has taken 4mths to get a wedding DVD.

It's been a hard week, so I am planning to spend the weekend cleaning around the house (and maybe putting a new blind up in the bathroom - I didn't want romans in there as they could go mouldy) so I am going to replace the existing holand blind with off white plastic wood-look venetians. I think it will look really nice!
